A very good place to eat. I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and although not the best in each of the food types they serve, they are far above most single type places out there. Very good in all 3 types of foods, and I do not understand the negative comments about the hospitality here. Maybe the 40-50 times I have been here, I missed something, but find the ladies that work here very attentive, and helpful. Even the odd screw up in orders seems to be handled without problem. If you wish a change in a dish, they have always been accommodating to help me out. I love the Thai soups they have, but they are only on the menu as a small bowl, but with just an ask, a regular soup size can be had. I can say I have never had a bad meal here. Not fantastic, but just really good oriental food.
Not impressed with staff behaviors.. Staff is very cold, unwelcoming, hostile & rude… Especially rude to people when they come into the restaurant needing a washroom… I usually do take out when I stop by… Last night I WAS going to order food & do take out – but not with the wait staffs attitudes & how I was being treated…Over the last couple of years I have been at this restaurant with friends – we sat down & ordered – we were treated like trash with the servers bad attitudes… Previous to that I brought a group with me – 10 persons – the place was empty & all we got was static… Due to the condescending attitude of the servers – we left without ordering & we went elsewhere… Their competition across the parking lot at Canyon Grill was most accommodating…Nothing has changed with the wait staff… There is a serious problem there…This business owner & their staff need to remember that working people with a lot of $ to spend don’t look like royalty wearing heels & mink coats or tuxedos – often we wear leather & denim or work clothes – we are the working class… The staff needs to quit looking down their noses at people… Saigon Paradise just lost a long term customer with the staffs condescending attitudes…The establishment is not the Ritz Carlton nor a 5 star restaurant – they are a very small business that relies on customers to stay open… The only thing they have going for them is reasonable Thai & Vietnamese food – that is it… I strongly recommend that they deal with their staff & their poor attitudes towards paying customers… Food is reasonable – but I will not recommend the establishment due to the negative behaviors & attitudes from the staff…
Good!. We tend to come here for our Vietnamese food fix. It is a small little place but pretty cozy. I enjoy my food and I get excellent service here everyone is really nice. Portions are priced fairly and my meals are filling. Try it out and see for yourself!
Yummy vegetarian vermicelli. Lots of veggies (I don’t like it when restaurants try to pass off veggie vermicelli as just noodles with some lettuce and sprouts). Even has mushrooms and jicama (have never encountered this in vegetarian vermicelli). Fast, efficient and friendly service as well. Plus the price is right. Surprised it’s not busier whenever I go.
Do not like it!!!. I don’t understand why many people like this place. I am viet and grew up eating this food. I have visited this place a total of 3 times over the span of 1 year and was disappointed very time. I tried to give them a chance to change my mind. Last visited was Sept 13/14. As usual, the waitress was not friendly but whatever we were there for the food and oriental customer service is not very good anyway. We ordered fried calamari; I politely asked the waitress in vietnamese if they can make it spicy. I do this at other places and they were all happy to do so. She agreed then thought about it and said no; said I can use the chili sauce on the table (pointed at it). It came out dried and oily; half of the dish was battered onions and the calamari was dried up. Worse calamari ever!!! Hubby ordered the 4 color vermicelli noodle bowl. It was small compare to other places. It came with 1 spring roll (2 at other places), 1 pinkish meat ball that was sliced in halves to make it look like there’s more, some grilled pork, and ‘bi’ (basically shredded pork skin with some pork and roasted rice powder). I have never seen ‘bi’ as one of the 2, 3, 4 or 5 color. I ordered the phnom penh seafood noodle soup (or hu tieu nam vang). It was so pathetic: some sliced pork, 1 imitation crab meat, 1 shrimp, 1 tiny scallop and the noodle was just plain rice noodle that you would find in a pho. See the photos I took of our food. Bad service, bad food and expensive. We will never go back to this place!!!
