A sweet little cafe with a cosy atmosphere that’s prefect to relax and have tea. The staff was very friendly and everything was very personal, which made it all the more welcoming.
Very peaceful and dainty. Excellent for small groups of people, or alone. I ordered a cappuccino and it is unlike the usual; the foam is nice and thick, and the flavour lingers nicely.
Love this cafe for the staff and the quaint interior!! Don’t like the coffee…it would be nice to have some options aside from the really dark roasts and maybe something local to differentiate from the dark chain coffee served across the street.
Nice atmosphere. Coffee Cats has a good thing going for it which you won’t get at Second Cup across the street. The woman serving the day I went in was very friendly, and the place had a more neighbourly feeling going on. The coffee here is on par with its nearby competitor but served in a nicer setting. The food looks really good! I tried a flourless oatmeal cookie and was delighted. I’d go back if I was in the neighbourhood and looking for a relaxed place to meet a friend.
Please update your hours on the sign: if I come to your establishment at 5:04pm and your sign says you’re open til 6, BE OPEN.
I really love this little place… much more my speed than the other hipster hangouts in town. I honestly can’t believe some of the comments below. Someone complaining because they were asked to move their car after a few hours of the person using the cafe as their personal office? Someone else complaining because the bathrooms hadn’t received an interior design treatment? They are spotless and clean, what else do you need? This is a small business with four parking stalls. Their livelihood depends on convenience for people to get there and the turnover of customers. They sell coffee and snack meals, how much extra money do you think they have to indulge your complaints of a boring bathroom and free use of their place as your office? The small meals are great, the coffee is very tasty and the owner is there night and day it seems. Yes, sometimes she seems a bit cranky but I think I would be too if I was on my feet nonstop everyday all day. That really has been my only complaint in all these years, but when I put myself in her shoes, and see customers being rude when placing orders, I think I may understand why she doesn’t smile more.
Being an employee at an independently owned coffee shop myself, I opted to try out CCC instead of the Second cup across the road. I’ve lived in the area for a few months but always avoided this cafe because of the silly name. I found the atmosphere very welcoming, with beautiful tables and homemade treats catching my eye as soon as I walked in. I had a tea so I have no comment on the quality of the coffee but the girl behind the counter was quick and pleasant. I am anxious to check out the open mic Mondays I read about in other reviews. The only thing I found was that the washrooms were outdated and definitely had potential to be more welcoming.
