Service is friendly and curries are good (but need to be ordered extra spicy in order to have any zip at all); but the butter chicken is disgusting. It tastes like tomato paste. Blech. Serving sizes are moderate.
We are always looking for great delivery further south. We took a chance on the butter chicken hut last night. What a waste!$40 + a delivery fee (according to their menu there is no delivery fee under 3km) from Shawnessy to Midnapore. Portion sizes were wee (probably best!) – the butter chicken had only a few bites of chicken swimming in tomato sauce, the naan was small and so dry and the palak paneer was nothing to write home about.So disappointed…and hungry! Would not recommend.
I have been here twice for the butter chicken lunch special. $10 for more butter chicken and rice than i can eat in one sitting. Its a pretty good sauce with huge chunks of chicken. Nothing too special but good enough for me.
Hole in the wall place, great food!. My fiancee and I have ordered from Butter Chicken Hut twice in the past week or so and both times it’s been fantastic! The first time, we ordered the butter chicken and the vegetable biryani, and both were delicious. The second time, we ordered the channa masala and the saag beef and the saag beef may have been the best saag I’ve ever had in my life.They’re incredibly fast getting orders together, the food is great, the prices are way better than they should be, and the people working there are really friendly. I would highly, highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great take-out Indian food in Calgary.

Delicious. The food was very good and it’s a great price compared to most Indian takeout/delivery in the city. We order Indian 2/3 times per month and this will be our new go-to.
Good food in our neighborhood. Before is was chicago deep dish, which was very bad, now there is pizza and donair place and Butter Chicken hut with lots of choices. Ordered butter chicken which was just great and some butter nan, mmmmm, loved it. Will try there donair pizza next time
