Apparently it is bar food day. Taco salad ( with shel), Okly burger ( suppose to come with a ton of bacon which means two strips) and a spicy beef soft taco( that comes cold). The service is good and she pays attention. The food is tasty with silly names. Not fancy but quick and average bar food.
Awesome Food, But the Service is Lacking. This is a regular spot for us and since the renovation and improvements to the menu we love the food here. I have yet to have a disappointing meal at this place. They even have the best appetizer platter I’ve found yet. There are two problems I have with this place though. 1. Service is quickly on the decline. For years we have had nothing but amazing service and in the last year we have only had good service from one waitress who we make a point of sitting in her section when possible. The other servers have ignored us to the point of having to go get our own drinks, or cutlery, or condiments, etc… One even snapped at my wife for asking what time a charity auction they were hosting was ending. And I don’t think I have seen any of them smile since the place was renovated last year. 2. Some guy who I imagine is the manager or DJ carries around a microphone and announces different things from time to time. Sometimes it is about an upcoming event, other times it is some creepy comment about how good a customer or a waitress looks. Aside from the complete awkwardness of it, it is too loud and absolutely destroys the atmosphere of the place. I may as well be at some cheesy night club. I really hope they fix those two problems or the new pub opening in Sherwood Park will make them lose a lot of business.
