Great Chain food – not any oxymoron. We aren’t fans of chain food of any sort, but Cobs is a rare exception. We continue to prefer to find artisanal baking but when we don’t have the time to go to Treestone/Artisanal in Edmonton we find that cobs is a reasonable alternative.
Great Bakery – one bad employee …. Yes, love the COBS bakery – both Sherwood Park locations. I have tried many items from the sweet stuff to the bread and buns. They are very addicting and I won’t buy from the grocey stores now even if I can’t get bread from COBS.Would simply mention though that the Baseline road location has a very snotty girl working there from time to time – has these eyes that look like she wants to swear and gouge your eyes out. She is the only one I have problems with from refusing to package my pastries in a box (instead of stuffing into a bag) to arguing about how many buns I have to buy – why do I have to buy 7 instead of 4? Pretty weird actually. Wish I would have gotten her name to advise management because she really is the only bad lemon I’ve encountered. Everyone else is very helpful and polite.
YUM. Cinnamon Bread……….’nuf said!!
Yummy Bread and Baked Goods. I’ve been to many cobs bread locations in Alberta and BC and the 2 locations in Sherwood Park have the best bakers. I love everything, especially the turkish, the cinnamon bread and buns, the chocolate and rasberry white chocolate scones, the french, the sour dough and the tray buns. My son loves the fun buns. The staff are fun and friendly too. I can always count on leaving smiling.
MMMm Bread. Great bread with good prices, what is not to like? Also a few nice treats besides the bread.
French Toast. Cinnamon bread, thick sliced makes the most awesome french toast you have ever had! Mmmmmmmmm
Not my favorite dish. The hot cross buns I bought turned out to have chocolate chips rather than raisins. I was very disappointed. Apparently there were 2 kinds there, raisin and chocolate, but there was nothing on the bag indicating which was which or even that they were different. My friends like them though.
