The food was fine, pretty standard vermicelli bowls. The service, however, was insane. Our first waitress either slammed or threw everything on our table. The server changed halfway through and she was lovely but the first one was unwelcoming and aggressive. We would have left but decided to stick it out simply because we were shocked and wanted to watch the train wreck. The food is not good enough to balance out the waitress.
Rating is not about the food. Ordered our usual takeout. Serving sizes were noticeably smaller. I’m talking maybe just over half the size of what we got previously. I’ll give it one more try and then go back to Taste of Vietnam.
Visited this place for lunch today … I always wanted to try pho and never had the chance to … So I have nothing to compare it to but I know good food !! and this was very very good . I can eat a lot ( I usual eat my plate then my husbands left over lol ) so we ordered the green onion cake and I had the large pho with the flank steak, tendons, tripes and All.. And my husband got the vermicelli bowl with everything on it . First of all..the green onion cakeS ( comes with 2) are amazing ! Piping hot served with a sweet chilli sauce and tons of green onions in it … I ate most of it lol!! Then my GIGANTIC bowl of pho came out ! Holy shit lol I have never seen a bowl of soup that big in my life !! I just started laughing and right away starting to regret getting the large one lol. I put some nice hot chilli oil all over that baby along with hoisin sauce and I was ready to start my eating workout lol. The tripes and tendons were awesome and the beef was still red when she served me my soup!! Loved it … Loved every seconds ofIt !!! I almost …. Almost finished it All… I was aching I was so freakin full!! I tried my husband vermicelli bowlAnd it was really tasty!! Came to about 30$ and I couldn’t believe how cheap it was … I had no problem with the service everything came very quickly !!! Will be back pho sure !!! LolllReturned 2 weeks after and I had the #9 which is steak and tendons ( I love tendons ) and it was great !! Nice broth just like last time … Plenty of tendons and beef … Had the green onion cake again but wasn’t as nice and fluffy as last time . We were greeted by a younger looking Asian woman… Didn’t seem nice atAll… No smile and actually very bitchy but I guess her shift was over because she left a few minutes after we sat down . Anyway the older woman is very nice and always attentive to our need .
Food was really good. Had lemongrass chicken and spring rolls. Rolls came out a bit too crisp but we’re good. Lemongrass chicken was delicious, made well and lots of flavour. Service was average food came super fast. Recommended.
Great Vegetarian Pho. WORST service EVER. Very rude staff and staff that give you very little time to decide on menus choices.Wouldn’t let me have half the noodles and double the vegetables…..
Service was great, food came out in a timely fashion. Nice presentation, hot dishes. Time between appetizers and entree dishes was excellent. Clean and sharp decore, clean washrooms!
Great atmosphere but very bland Pho. Vermecelli bowls are ‘ok’. After a handful of trials, the continuous terrible service, unfriendly staff and sub-par food are enough reasons for me not to return.
