Five guys is in that range of burger joints with Fat Burger, Smash Burger, and The Burgers Priest. Its a step up from Wendy’s and McDonalds in taste and price. I am one of those individuals who loves a greasy burger with the processed cheese melted on top so of course I like this place. If your expecting a home made sirloin burger then don’t come here, if you want a burger that you know is clogging your arteries and don’t care because it tastes so good then this is your place. You can order it with the standard burger toppings and a side of Cajun or regular fries. Until a Shake Shack opens up in Edmonton this is probably the best of the bunch.
Made to order burgers and fries. Not a million options on the menu. Five guys is not trying to be everything to everyone. They are great burgers and fries cooked fresh with your choice of toppings. They even have a favorite of mine, burger with all the fixens in a lettuce wrap!! No bun for me and no additional charge! Not fancy but great flavor, I will be back.
Its over-hyped, aside from that its ok.. This place is only alright in my opinion, the taste is all really good. The burgers are nice and juicy and to the best of my knowledge the ingredients are all very simple and minimally processed. the burgers are way too soggy though, especially if you try and take it home giving the burg time to steam up and saturate the bun and condiments. and unless you come in before the dinner or lunch rush while the deep fry oil is still piping hot, then the fries are a very similar situation, soggy and sad. So in my opinion the texture is pretty awful here. The decor of this place is all just grossly hygienic feeling tile that reminds me of a bathroom or a hospital, and a bunch of reviews and recommendations for this place pulled from newspapers and magazines. That’s something that bothers me about this place, the hype and the shameless self promotion. Pride in your product is one thing, but they take it too far, and some of the boasting is at the point of being laughable, especially since its probably not even the best burger in Sherwood park. It really sets you up for disappointment.
So good! Burgers did not disappoint!!
Yes. I ordered 2 double burgers and gulped it down cuz I was so hungry and then I chugged them large fries.. so good
Wow extremely below average burgers. These burgers suck…. clearly people around here are country bumpkins that haven’t had food outside mcdonalds or they would all recognize this.
Crappy …. not much more to say !!!!. I went there the first time because I wanted to go after hearing so much about it. Been there 3 times since because the people I was with wanted to go. All four times, the food was terrible. The burgers are sopping wet, therefore so is the bun, more than wet …… actually sloppy. The burgers seem like they’re boiled and nobody likes boiled hamburger patties that I know. No taste to any of the toppings and that includes the raw onions that I crave. Meanwhile, the prices are ridiculously high for a burger joint, and it’s not a designer burger joint either. Fries were good the first time, since then they’ve been just warm and not crispy. Next time, across the street to A & W who for my money, still gives you the best burger (but not their fries).
