Meh. Typical CCF. Food was ok but nothing special that you won’t get in the mall nearest you. There was some food being prepped on a table – don’t know for sure but I expect food safety isn’t job #1. Won’t likely go back.
Best chicken chop suey ever! The chicken balls were mushy. Ginger beef had some fatty pieces but the sauce was amazing. And the pork and broccoli was also awesome. Seems like I’ll have to order again and try some new dishes. But overall very enjoyable!
Great service, fresh food. We switched from another local Chinese restaurant because the food was not hot and fresh on a regular basis. Since switching to Golden 88 we have always been satisfied and not disappointed yet. Keep up the quality food and service!26 Jan, 2015Always fresh. Excellent food and buffet is fresh. Family run and excellent service. Two thumbs up!
Delicious and Inexpensive. They say you can have fast, good, or cheap – pick two. In this case, it’s good and cheap. The service is slow – if you’re going for lunch, it’s best to go a little before noon or a little after noon if it’s an option for you – but well worth the wait. And if nothing else grabs your fancy, the chicken balls are the best. They look like anyone else’s, but for me, they are done to perfection. Not too much dough, not too little. Not hard like a hockey puck, not half cooked. Perfectly crisp and moist with just the right portion of chicken.
Make sure it’s fresh. Go there at lunch time or dinner time. Might have a line, but it should be fresh. Also get ready to sit on the toilet afterwards… True story
Why all the positive reviews??? Friends of the owners??? Worse than the worst food court Chinese food
Divey, greasy little hole in the wall. We tried the buffet ‘hot table’ and while there seemed to be lots of traffic, I would not eat here again or refer this place under any circumstances. However, if you are looking for fast and cheap (and are not fussy) you might like this neighborhood spot.
