Continuously disappointed in this place. I have tried numerous dishes to try to find one that tastes decent and each one has been underwhelming. This last visit has left me completely turned off by it. I will no longer be eating at this restaurant. We ordered the new ‘summer roll’ which is pretty much just salad rolls with shrimp in them. We were expecting at least 2 rolls for the price of $5. No. It was one singular ‘roll’ that tasted foul. It looked like someone threw the veggies and shrimp on top of the rice paper and shut the box. It was awful and grossly overpriced. For the price you pay for meat, I’m expecting a decent portion but I rarely get more than a few tiny pieces of chicken or shrimp. They add an outrageous amount of cilantro and other toppings onto the dish and the sauces I’ve had are so oily that all you can taste and see is oil. I do not recommend Noodle Box to anyone, they are expensive, the dishes are poorly executed, and tasteless.
Was okay. Didn’t love it, but wasn’t bad. For 2 mains and 2 appetizers it was +$40 w/o tip which seemed a bit steep for a glorified Wok Box. In fairness, my wife probably would have given it 4.5 as she really liked it, but for the price I’m not sure we’d go back (we did take out).I should mention that they were VERY accommodating to my nut allergy. If you are anaphylactic I would avoid as virtually everything will come into close contact with nuts.
Have only tried it once so far since they have came to Sherwood park I am from Vancouver island and have tried the original Victoria noodle box many times and this one tastes the same only complaint no shrimp the day I was there.
A great meal once you wait for them to make it wrong twice. Such a disappointment since I’m used to the original in Victoria BC. I guess I’ll just get my faves when I visit home
I have dined here on many occasions now. Nice place.Trendy.Fresh. Flavorfull. Filling.I have sampled most of their noodle dishes, several sides, and some of the daily specials.Food looked great.Fresh. Flavourfull. Pretty damn good.I am always surprised how full I get.Doesn’t happen this fast often. I feel they should have half order sizes…but they don’t appear to.Sadly, my biggest point of contention of late is their inconsistant application of their spice. I always stick with a mere 1 on their scale. Several time now I have gotten home woth my take-out only to find that the dishes are hot enough to set my tastebuds ablaze. Given the range of spice they offer…the really so need to be carefull. It gets damn hot. Had I been dining in on these occassions…they certainly would have been remaking my meals.Regardless…I’ll be back. It is indeed quite good.
Honestly, hands down 100x better than oodle noodle or wok box. I don’t get out to Sherwood park often but now I definitely have a reason. It tastes fresh, the fact I can pick the spice level is great and this sauce is amazing.
I had the popular Thai peanut stir fry. Very nice people but found the dish bland and the cream sauce made the dish heavy. Wasn’t worth the calories Will try something different if I go again
