Stopped in for lunch. Menu is long and there is a lunch special couple of pages long. Ordered appetizer of spring rolls. 2 spring rolls for six dollars was a bit of a surprise. Two orders from the lunch special menu each for $11. Flavors are average, however vegetables and proteins are only a small part of the dish. Restaurant appears to be family run with very friendly staff that are quick to attend to customers.
Very nice meal on a Wednesday night a few weeks back. It was very quiet in this clean and friendly Thai restaurant. I had not heard of it before but my cousin lived nearby and recommended we go there. We ordered Chicken Fried Rice (an impressive presentation for that), Green Curry and Pad Thai, both with chicken. Not sure why we ordered so much chicken that night. The curry was tasty but not very spicy. The Pad Thai was delicious and not too sweet. I really liked the tofu in it. Also I was impressed with just how tender the chicken was in every dish. I loved the (not very Asian) tea pot my green tea was served in. It was a quirky addition and a beautiful little pot.I would like to come here again with my sons and hubby so we can try other dishes. The waitress was super friendly and sweet, another reason to come again.
We tried this restaurant as being from this side of the world it’s hard to find a good Thai restaurant. We found it on Google. The decor is a little confusing… Cute though. Must have at one time been a fast food joint. The tiles on the walls were interesting and the fuchsia coloured chairs were pretty. The waitress friendly, however not sure why a tray wasn’t used. Would have saved her so much time then running back and forth. However really friendly, modification for food dishes do not seem like it’s feasible or wanted. We had the Tom Yum and this is a dish that any Thai lover knows best. I found the large was not large enough for 4 us eating. It was on the bland side for my taste. There was not enough of the Tom Yum for all of us to have a hearty portion and I have seen bigger. However, although not terrible, it was a western version of the real deal.We then received the papaya salad and mango salad, we ordered both as the mango is not on usual menus. I am not a personal fan of fruit in my food. Go figure, I’m Asian too. However, this was intriguing as the papaya salad is my favourite dish made by my mother. I’m somewhat biased. I appreciate the fish sauce was not overpowering, however noticed it with the tamarind that is usually used in other restaurants. I liked the dish, although it could have used more spice or have been offered to us with more spice. As for the pad Thai. We ordered with prawns as again I don’t eat meat… Yes I know I eat seafood… The taste right off the bat was sweeter than accustomed too. Authentic? Not so much. However I feel like the recipe was toned down and sweetened, but I’m just guessing. I have had way sweeter pad thais so I can appreciate the toned down version. However, I am still searching for that perfect pad Thai…We did try the red curry with chicken. Although I cannot comment on the chicken, again I feature same issue… It was light in flavour.Overall, it wasn’t a bad lunch. I could eat here again, maybe try it again. However, the food could use more flavour and spice. The back home Thai was not here… I’m still searching.
portions for money are terrible. no spice whatsoever to the food. the pad thai was okay … but not the best. the tom yum tasted like the shrimp was rotten. made me sick for the rest of the day. will not be back. if you are looking for authentic GOOD thai food in the park go to Thai Together
Service here is attentive, friendly and welcoming Food is very authentic and tasty (coconut rice is my go-to!)Menu is easy to navigate through and new lunch combos are available I have tried both the regular size portion dishes as well as lunch but have had the same issue with both servings: a lack there of Sawaddee loses points only because the moderate to high prices do not equate to the small serving sizes…which is too bad because I’d love to eat more of their delicious food
Best in Edm area – an extra layer of flavour & pleasant complexity in everything. Giant Thai iced coffees! Very gracious service. A true hidden gem. Kid-friendly.
We stopped for lunch today and were delighted with the service and menu. They have a very tasty Pad Thai and authentic green curry! A great spot for a Sunday lunch.
