Tried this place because of Groupon. The curry was so good and there was so much food! Lots of vegetarian options too. Definitely will go back…

Not too shabby. Not as good as a few other Indian establishments I have tried recently…but still…I’d give them another shot.Stopped in for a late, take out dinner. Had a three item deal which came with rice and Naan bread. I also ordered a couple of chicken samosas, and an order of stuffed naan bread (i went for cheese and onion). Dishes were decent. Butter chicken had a distinct tomato taste. Chili chicken was good. Stuffed naan was a a bit greasy…but the cheese inside no doubt contributed to that. It to was tastey. Samosa was unlike any other I have had. Shell was very hard. You can see in my picture. It tasted decent.Overall…I’m content. If I lived close, I would probably be apt to go back soon.I don’t live that close…so I will be back…one day.For now.So many new places to give a chance.
Simple restaurant but excellent food. Taste of India has a simple formula – consistently tasty, fresh dishes. friendly staff and homey surroundings. Being familiar with many Indian restaurants in and around Edmonton we were introduced to this spot by a friend who comes often for a quick lunch. We were delightfully surprised at the quality of the food, somehow more delicious than that served in many other restaurants. Excellent!
Just ate here for the first time yesterday and I was really impressed. The staff were so friendly and the food was really good, really tasty, fresh and reasonably priced. Everything is made and waiting for you to take it home. Will definitely be back.
Love this place. I’ve been coming here for years. Next to my native Chinese food, I find this the next best comfort food. I like that they have lamb and goat occasionally and for some reason, I have to have the mutter paneer every time. The owners and staff couldn’t be any friendlier too! I don’t agree with the comment about paying a buck for a samosa – I’ve never seen any place have them for 50 cents. One cannot get anything this good for a buck anywhere else.
I just tried this place and the owner was awesome, not to mention the food was awesome too…. Reminds me of golden 88 but nicer and obviously infdian good. Will def be back!
Tastey and nice people. Ate in once but usually do take out. Would recommend. Staff are all friendly – server, cook, and lady at the cash.Buy the special combo. Limited menu but all pretty good. Sometimes they have beef in their dishes which seem strange for an indian restaurant.Somosa good but pricey. Somosas in other cities are say 50cents each. Here they are expensive! Lower the price and would drop by more often!Overall two thumbs up.
Their Coconut naan bread sucks. Like sprinkles of coconut not shredded. Butter chicken is greasy. Basmati rice soggy and not good. 5 dollar butter chicken bowl sucks. Should be 3 dollars or less. New Asian village is way better
