This place is always super packed so me and wife finally got around to ordering food from here. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, the palace chicken, pot stickers and Singapore noodles. The pot stickers and the squid were my favourite dishes both were best I have had before so great the palace chicken was alright a bit sweet for my liking but chicken and veg were cooked well. The Shanghai noodles we’re kinda bland not much going on.

This location has changed over a few times, but I’m disappointed to say, it had never really improved, If you want the crowded, loud echo, chaos of Chinese restaurant … then this might be the place for you. The quality of food is average, the service is minimum, and did I mention it is super loud inside (result of poor interior design).
An average rating of only 2.7??? We saw that the name had been changed to Great Taste and it took us a couple of months to finally try it. So GLAD we did for our weekendly dim sum. Yes, tables are mainly set up for big groups but if you wait for a smaller table, it is well worth it. Only table for 4 that isn’t all that great is right at the front door, under the TV, where everyone stands and waits. Food is very good and what we could see for noodle dishes…huge. Congee was very good and tasty. We’ve been back numerous times and will continue to do so. It does get busy, so be prepared to wait. All women servers is awesome to see too; they are very accommodating and will speak in English without any attitude!! Bonus!
Quick, friendly service great dim sum and excellent portions. I used to frequent another place in the neighbourhood for dim sum but their customer service was seriously lacking. Felt like they were angry all the time when I just want to relax and enjoy some good food. Then I found Great taste!I only order three things and they know who I am when I call. Steamed Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce- Fung-Ja-ouw! Like, Ja Man- Jaouw. Fung-Jaouw! Crab Meat & Pork Dumplings- Sue My!And my favorite Deep Fried Stuffed Meat Dumplings- Ham-Soy-gaut!With worschester sauce – Kip SuP!If your a dude and your new to dim sum and your all about yummy meat then this is all you need to know!Always feel welcome here
This is the go-to place for families when wanting Cantonese food for dinner… provided you know a bit of Chinese when ordering. Extra large portions and most dishes are cooked excellently. However, the dim sum at lunchtime is just mediocre.
Tried this place for the 1st time. It’s busy during lunch and you might have to wait but the food is delicious. Loved the steamed shrimp dumpling as it is very firm and chewy. Quality is great compared to other dim sum places I’ve tried.
