Went for lunch. Personable owner (white dude who says he’s retired. I assume he married a Cuban or Vietnamese?) Strange bedfellows… Cuban… Vietnamese and western… Whatever that means. Located in Edmonton Sun building, esthetically not great but seems clean. My partner had a vermicelli bowl… Combo for $14. She said it was OK and tasty enough but not memorable by any stretch. I had the small wonton soup and must say it was larger than most you will get for 5.99 (usually a cup of soup with 4 wonton). It was way too heavy on cilantro so ask for it without. Lots of broccoli in it and carrots. Good value for sure. I also had a combo bowl and was just meh about it. Not good… Not bad.. The waitress was attentive but OMG… she bathed in her perfume and it was hard to take. One of the first times I recall not wanting my server to come by and see how we are doing. Seriously needs to be told by owners. Very offensive and so unnecessary. She is a pretty girl and someone should show her how to wear perfume. Not sure I would come back but leaning toward a yes if I need a bowl of wonton soup. Just need to remember to hold the cilantro. They seem to get a good lunch crowd but only because of the captive audience of being in an industrial area where there are not a lot of choices. Enjoy…
