Tried to have dessert here tonight as they are open until 10 pm. Apparently they are closed at 8:30???? A hotel restaurant closed that early????And will reopen at 6:30 am( not sure if that is for real). So even though the sign says ten and the restaurant has people sitting in it with staff serving them we will have to go elsewhere for dessert. Chasing customers out once makes sure that they will not be back.
False advertising. They advertise a prime rib and king crab buffet, it seemed a little inexpensive at 29.99 so we confirmed twice by phone that it was indeed king crab which they assured us it was. We arrived for our reservation and waited10 mins for the hostess who never came. Several servers saw us waiting and ignored us, didn’t even ackowledge that we were there. After being fed up I went up to a server and asked If there was someone who could seat us (there were plenty of open tables), anyway, turns out the crab on the buffet is snow crab NOT king crab as they falsely advertise, if we wanted snow crab we’d go to Booker’s. The rest of the buffet didn’t look appetizing so we left and had indian instead which made up for the crab disappointment.
Awful service. Very slow service.
Delicious and hearty! The clam chowder hit the perfect note of tummy warming comfort. Bison meatloaf and miso pork ribs were both tasty. Generous portions of soul food in a cozy atmosphere.
Forgettable experience with one exception. Buffets need to be replenished….it’s that basic.Having to ask for more:Crab…Orange Juice….Where’s the guy carving the beef….Fruit….A fork…Coffee..A cup for my coffee..Cream for coffee..The check…etc, etc….Staff and all food items should have name tags…The East Indian lady making omelets is a star ,she actually makes the omelet and brings to your table. She’s very, very polite and deserves some recognition from the management. The servers seemed unorganized, five staff on for a 1/2 empty room during a buffet, service should have been spot on.Food quality basic breakfast with a carving and omelet station.
Horrible Brunch. I came in here on Canada Day for the King Crab Sunday Brunch and it was horrible. First they ran out of Orange juice for a brunch which is insane. The advertisement of King Crab is pretty much a lie because I only had one piece and never saw it replenished along with the shrimp. They ran out of fruit so at the end the fruit tray consisted only of honeydew. I could understand them running out of food items towards the end of the brunch but this was at noon.
