  Went to Hanjan last night with two friends for a late night dinner and had overall a solid time. The restaurant is very nicely set up with a patio/outdoor theme on the main floor. They have a second floor with a karaoke room that would be great for larger parties.We ordered the Kimchi Jeon, Pa Jeon, Korean Fried Chicken, Bossam, Jjim Dak. All of the dishes were very flavourful and reminiscent of solid home cooked Korean food. The Korean Fried Chicken was exceptionally tasty with a light and crispy batter and a sweeter than spicy sauce. Prices are a bit on the high side compared with other Korean restaurants but the quality and taste of the food is worth the extra premium.Definitely would recommend if you’re after some authentic Korean cuisine!

  Upon walking into Hanjan, I was amazed but the size of the restaurant inside. They had a two levels and my girlfriend and I sat on the bottom patio like area. The menu is pretty traditional Korean and initially looking at the prices, they seemed quite high. Once the food came out, I was a little disappointed as the portions were smaller than what I expected. However, it was very filling and tasted not bad. I would recommend coming here with a large group of people to share different dishes. Overall, not bad.

  First off, the interior is beautiful. They did a great job decorating. I liked that they provided buttons at every table so you could call a server over, that was very convenient. We had the cheese corn, Fried chicken, and a korean army soup. The corn was sweet which was interesting but so so yummy. The soup was great for a cold day and it had a lot of ramen and fish cakes and stuff. But my favourite was probably the chicken. They gave you very big fat pieces and was extremely juicy. I wish there was a sauce that came with the chicken though, as I felt it was a bit too greasy and fried for my liking. Ill make sure to try the other flavour next time.

  Very impressed with this place! Edmonton is lacking in the Korean food department so it was nice to see a cool, unique space with delicious food.We tried: bulgolgi, galbi, the fried chicken (with the sweet and spicy sauce), bibambap, and cheese buldak. Bulgolgi – good but nothing really special. It was your average bulgolgi – good but nothing spectacular. Galbi – excellent! And a good portion of food to share with others. Sweet and spicy chicken – the actual chicken was tender, but we all agreed that the sauce was missing something. A tang. I probably wouldnt order the chicken myself again Bibambap – average again, the stone bowl it came out in wasnt very hot, in turn the rice was slightly soggy. The rice didnt crisp up like I would have liked it to. I probably wouldnt order this again. Cheese buldak – WOW! I was so impressed with this. I wasnt expecting much because I never have liked the whole cheese on Korean meats thing. It was one of the best dishes hands down and I will for sure order again! Lastly, we tried a dessert – the honey butter bread. It was so good, like a healthy cinnamon bun that was soft but crispy on the edges. Definitely recommend! Overall, this restaurant is probably one of the better if not the best Korean restaurant in Edmonton currently. GOOD JOB HAN JAN

  Great food, great atmosphere and decent prices. Not sure why the have such a low rating.my friends and I raved about it after we tried it and couldn’t wait to go back!! One of my faves now.
