Went with a friend for lunch and we both had a regular East Coast Donair and a latte. These are by far some of the tastiest Donairs Ive had in Canada. Love the seasoning on the outside of the wrap, and the meat and vegetables were both fresh and crunchy. Portion size was quite good and the woman who served us was perfectly friendly. The lattes were good but not amazing, however, they came with free mini cupcakes so that was a nice touch. Would definitely go again to try another type of Donair.

This place gets my vote for best donair in the city. The way they grill and salt the donair is amazing and unique. It gets pretty busy around lunch and can move a little slow but it’s worth it. Prices seem average for a donair. I wish they were open a little longer sometimes!

Delicious gyro. Not sure what it is – maybe it’s that they grill them, but it puts an absolutely delicious touch on the gyros. A bit pricey, but still worth trying.

Terrible service. Like seriously by far the rudest experience I’ve had in Edmonton. And not worth it for such a meh Gyro. I’ve had Gyros in Greece and this isn’t up to par. Really you should either make these types of things authentic or elevate and this was neither. Avoid!

Today for lunch we went to High Voltage at Gateway and Argyll. There has been a stand alone restaurant here for as long as I can remember, and that’s a long time. It’s now a well known Donair place. I don’t think it’s as authentic as some others as they make the Donairs a little like a Panini. It was delicious! The size was just right for me too. Unlike some Donair places you can get a good coffee here too. I don’t know why I haven’t been here for at least a year. 4.5 out if 5 and if I didn’t have to do an illegal u-turn to get to the free parking I would consider a full 5. Update as of October 5, 2017. I needed a quick lunch so I stopped by High Voltage . They recently updated the exterior so I was wondering if there’s a new owner or other changes. Nope, it’s still the same wonderful food with excellent coffee and very reasonable prices. Even as take out it was delicious and I still got the mini cup cake with my coffee. I don’t give out 5s very often because there is always something that could be done better. If I could give High Voltage a 4.9 I would. Yes it’s just that good.

This is my go to place for donairs! And I love the owner! He can seem grumpy at first but once you get to know him he is very friendly. Always get the east coast Donair at have never been disappointed. Don’t miss this place!

Great spot. Try the bison wrap and you will not be disappointed. A little pricey but worth it. Owner has always been friendly and pleasant. Great spot!
