Went today for lunch and yes I did order a dish. The dish didnt taste right nor did it look ok. Overall the older woman was rude when I told her about it and the service was slow. Someone else came and tried to offer something else but at that point it was too late. Not worth it since its really salty food and presentation was just bland.

Overall decent pho place, nothing too special. Average price, average pho and pretty good service. There are not that many pho places nearby but it does the job to satisfy your pho craving.

Its been quite some time since Ive been to Hung Phat only because I no longer live on the south side of the city. Stopped by yesterday since we were over there and I wasnt disappointed as usual. I miss this place, it used to be my go to!Ordered the green onion cakes, beef satay and my bd had beef chow mein. I am in love with the satay here. I think Im going to make it a regular thing to go to the south side a little more often when Im craving good authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

This is my parents go to place for a quick bite on the weekend. The family who runs it knows us now..haha. It’s a decent Vietnamese restaurant that offer your favourites at a relatively decent price point. Not as good as some of the restaurants in Chinatown, but this will do. The pho is tasty and the three colour rice is always good. Consistent, tasty and convenient location for south siders.

When we first arrived, we were pleased by the appearance of this restaraunt. We ordered green onion cakes, ginger beef on rice, and a beef noodle bowl. The waitress never took any drink orders, and we had to ask for water. The green onion cakes came out hot and fresh, very delicious. The rest is shameful….My beef noodle bowl tasted of freezer burn and old meat. The noodles were not traditional pho noodles, but some kind of mushy overcooked rice vermicelli. I took two bites and offered my husband one. We both agreed it tasted off and old. My husbands ginger beef was undercooked pre-packaged costco type dish, with a few peppers in it to disguise its lack of authenticity. The rice was bland, cold, and tasted awful. When I told the waittress I did not want my noodle soup, she insisted that I order a different item instead. My husband told her he was not satisfied either, and she told us we would be paying for our meals. He had ONE bite of his. The waitress then had her manager come out and harass us further. I explained that we would be happy to pay for the green onion cakes, but we would not be paying for food that was not up to our standards that we did not eat. I felt like I was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares from this point forward…she argued with me, began escalating, telling me all her food was made fresh. I tried calming her down, and told her I understood her point of view, but we disagreed and would not be eating the food. She told us we had to eat the food and then pay for it, rocking back and forth the whole time. As she was getting louder and coming closer into my face, I told her that this behaviour was unacceptable and I had never in my whole life had such a terrible experience dining. My husband and I enjoy Pho often, and I have to say this was the absolute WORST combination of awful food and service I have ever experienced in my life.

There is a good-sized vegetarian section in the menu, which is uncommon for a Vietnamese restaurant. My faves: Ginger Tofu (sauce is like that for ginger beef) and Lemongrass Tofu on Vermicelli. Consistently good food, good prices and fabulous and quick service 🙂 This is my go-to place for work lunches and dinners when working late.

Ive been here before for the pho noodle soup (excellent as always) but decided to try the curry chicken soup and it was amazing! I highly recommend this place.
