Our office was treated to lunch from India Garden from a grateful patient who ordered us so much food that even just taking bits of everything left us stuffed! Standouts were the butter chicken, coconut rice, garlic naan and onion naan, saffron rice, chicken tikka and tandoori fish. Delivery was right on time, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!
Today this restaurant is quiet, we are the only table. Servus seems slow being that she only gas us to take care of. We had the buffet which has less choices than I expect from an Indian restaurant. Flavors are also less than expected, no great flavor here
REALLY good Indian food. There are lots in the area and one down the road that used to be my regular place for lunch, but after varying levels of quality from one trip to the next I decided to try India Garden. And it has been a WONDERFUL experience every time I have ordered. The quality is always good. I always pick it up and it is hot and fresh.
Great food, everything I’ve tried here is good. I usually do take away for lunch. Friendly staff, and not bad pricing. What I love best is there is always leftovers for supper!
Great Indian food. Good food with lots of spice, not mild like most other Indian food places in Edmonton. I have tried all their chicken curries and they are all very good. The only crappy thing is when I order a dish for takeout they only offer a single piece of naan bread and no rice, and a side of rice is like $4! Since the food is good and very close to home I just make some rice at home, pick up the food and have the rice ready when I get back and save a lot of money.
Celiac friendly. I was thrilled with my lunch experience here. Friends had picked this restaurant, and I just hoped for the best. Thankfully, our hostess knew exactly what I meant when I mentioned being celiac and having a gluten allergy. She said no problem, ran away to the back and promptly returned with their chef. With a broad warm smile he explained to me that his daughter was also celiac and that they were very cautious. He pointed out what I could eat and said that any flour they used is chick pea. Hurray! 2 hours later, no reaction, my food was clean and that was from a buffet, something that usually means pain to me.Highly recommended, especially given the price and value of the meal.
Always excellent. I’ve been to this restaurant many times with both family and coworkers. Never been disappointed. Smaller buffet but the food is of consistently excellent quality.
