Disappointing to the extreme!. I went here with my young son for lunch. A Chilean friend of mine recommended the empanades. It was the only Chilean item on the menu! When we went to order the waitress said they were out. We ordered soup which was salty and oily. It was a vegetable soup with string beans added to it. Terrible! Go someplace else!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Quite pleasant. Soup of the day was pretty plain but still good. Pretty sure I’ll be back!

Wow! 10/10 what an increadable meal! It is more expensive then one dollar sign but compleatly worth it! Get the sangria and cheese empinadas before your meal!

Reasonably good food in a casual space. We’ve been wanting to try Los Andes for some time now, and when our friends called us and asked if we wanted to join them at Los Andes, it seemed like a perfect opportunity. It’s worth noting that the location is really quite strange – on a side wall of a strip mall, away from the main street. It takes a bit of finding, which may result in the few people who were in the restaurant on a Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Nevertheless, the place is bright and clean once you’re inside. We opted to start with the cheese empanadas, which were hot and fluffy, nicely cooked with just a little cheese inside to hold them together. An excellent start to dinner. Our party of four had four different dishes, so we have the opportunity to discuss a good portion of their menu. Two of us opted for the special, which was porrotos granados, one with the pork chop and one with the chorizo. Porrotos is a mix of sweet corn, lima beans and squash, cooked into a kind of savoury porridge. The chop or sausage was grilled and came on a large plate covered with the porrotos. The dish was absolutely brilliant, delicately flavoured with a light mustardy tang cut with the inherent sweetness of the ingredients, although in our discussion the winner by a nose was the sausage over the chop, which was very large and a bit too much to eat.We also had a steak with fries, and while the cut was good, it wasn’t as tasty as we wanted. A bit more work on spicing it would have made the world of difference, but on the other hand, it was perfectly cooked, tender and the presentation was good. Our fourth diner opted for the barbecued chicken, and was quite disappointed. The chicken looked good, and was a huge dinner, but the grilled quarter bird (it wasn’t really barbecued) wasn’t flavoured at all, and a little bit of freezer burn came through that could easily have been masked with any spicing at all. This diner was quite disappointed, and would have happily traded some of the volume for a bit more care with the cooking.Nevertheless, the experience was a great one for two of us, a good one for a third, and only not too good for the fourth. If you’re going, opt for the steaks, pork entrees or the special, and avoid the chicken. Or so our experience would indicate.Prices were moderate, with all four dinners running about $15. The wine by the bottle was a very good option at $24 for the house red, which was a good Chilean table wine.We will be going back, though, as we enjoyed ourselves in the casual atmosphere.

Amzing food. I am Chilean and can’t find any other Chilean places in Edmonton to eat. Only thing that beats it is actually going to chile. Empanada de carne. Amazing.

I am Chilean and i can honestly say that this place does represent chilean food in anyway. They may call it authentic but i can assure its not. I’ve been to chile many times and the food sold at this place doesnt come close to real chilean food. The consept may be similar but the chef/owner is really cheap and skimps out ingredients and doesnt charges up the ass for your meal. Overall not a good place to go, very unprofessional and the waitress is super rude. This is move of a hang out for the owners friends and people he knows, and i can assure you he’s still open because of their business. I know this all because my parents have known the owner ever since they moved here from Chile in 1980. Trust me, dont waste your time. Empanadas are the only good things and even that isnt worth it.

Unexpected gem! Rather strange location in a commercial area but that doesn’t stop them from creating a great dish. I stopped for a quick lunch and quick it was! Simply one if the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. Homemade bread was just delicious. Highly recommended.
