This resturant use to be a very good choice for a quick lunch but I find that the quality has just gone downhill as I sit here at noon by myself eating my cold pea pualu and store bought veggie samosas. It’s upsetting when this happens to a place that I once frequently visted…..ugh
As far as Indian restaurants go, I’d rank this as my top 3. Perhaps I’ve been starved by the lack of Indian food in the past little while, but I was mostly impressed by this place. The variety was good for a seemingly tiny buffet. Most of the food was quite fresh for a quiet Thursday evening. I had a Groupon and it made things even sweeter (though I wouldn’t mind paying the full $19.95 for dinner buffet whatsoever). My personal favorites were the deep fried fish and goat curry. The naan bread came fresh in a basket and that’s always better than naans sitting stale in a buffet line. I didn’t enjoy any of the chicken dishes because I found it tasteless and dry, not sure if freezer burnt but I just couldn’t feel the chef’s love as much. The daal and paneer and other vegetarian curries were alright. It served a purpose of being there but it didn’t wow me. They just accompanied my favorite fish and goat curry, really. As you can see in by pictures, I got quite a few helpings of that so it’s an indicator. Last but not least, I enjoyed that sweet deep fried ball in syrup dessert called gulab jamun. That always seals the deal of an Indian buffet no matter how full you are. Feel free to try this out on a Groupon while it lasts. The normal price is reasonable as well. Enjoy!
Best thing about this restaurant is that their food is consistently good. Other restaurants lack that. This is my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Keep up good cooking. Well mannered staff.
Favourite dinner spot is also a great place to host an event!. If you’re craving Indian food in Edmonton this is where you go. The Tandoori chicken was killer. Moist and tender with a little kick. Vegetable pakoras was amazing and so was the mixed vegetable curry. The garlic naan was the best I have had yet. Service was perfect too. Will love to come here again.
114 .00 dollars waste. Had dinner in moksha restaurant on March /9/15 for 4 ,It was memorable experience spent 114.00 dollarWhich was utter waste , ordered Goat Briyani host said not available , but I don’t know from they served for me ,Briyani was made with raw masala , it’s not usually used for Briyani, they mixed goat gravy, saffron rice ,white rice, for garnish red pepper and large diced onion was also mixed into it.Uncooked chicken served in buffet , chat Items totally Useless ,dhai vada soaked in curd is like stone ,chicken curry is worst Instead of 114.00 dollars spent in moksha could buy grocery in super store and other Indian spice And b made at home .
Great Food and Good Ambience. Moksha has a great selection of dishes and it tastes delicious too.Though the location is not that great but once enter you will find the ambience so welcoming and very attentive servers. We had a wonderful time.
Crap !. The only reason I went today was because I Thot I has collected enough points for a free buffet. Unfortunately they discontinued that from jan 1, 2015. Complete rip off. The same old food. No ice creaam . No pop . They are on a cost cutting mode!
