I love this place but yesterday I ended up getting burnt wings when I ordered to go. All six of them were burnt (two orders of three wings). It was after a long day of work, so I didn’t want to go back and complain! It was a really disappointing experience since I was looking forward to have some good dinner to end my day with.

A cool concept restaurant. Walk in, get seated with menu, walk up and order with food delivered back to table. Had a birthday bash, no reservations but they were able to accommodate a party size of 12 since we got there early enough. Ordered the party pack & family pack which was equal to 3 whole chickens, a few party sized sides and some drinks. Pretty good value and the kids LOVED the 100+ combinations of drinks on their fountain. Extra sauces located throughout the restaurant. Only gripe, spicy is spicy…I love spicy so it was fine … think staff might have underestimated it as some of my party thought it was a bit too much. Also, ordering sides…you’d think the party pack would come with a shareable size side…in order to get that we had to upgrade for an extra cost. However the rice, fries, peri peri veggies were all great compliments to the chicken. Mash potatoes (with skin) was okay but not a must have.

Every time I come here the line ups are so long. And its not really worth the line up in the cold just because their service is slow. So I decided to try the food out by ordering take out. Placed my take our order about an hour before I go to the location as I was ordering to go for lunch. I arrived and I had to wait another 45 mins to pick up my lunch and that was getting me so mad as I only have an hour lunch. and the travel time is already 5 mins each way. So what ever, I ended up eating one wing while I was driving back to work and all i could taste was the burnt skin flavour covered by its sauce. I brought back what I had left to my work and offered to my co workers to try and they said they have had better chicken so I guess . You lose my vote nandos. Sorry to say, 1 star for slow services and un reliable lunch, 1 star for effort of trying to cook the chicken, 2 star for the sauce and decore, 0 stars for the long line up in the cold.

Now finally the line up has died down and there was no long line ups so I Decided to go in and give it a try. The truth comes out as to why there is no longer a line up. It was just a hype and probably a one time try for everyone. I came in expecting some good chicken but all I really got was dried chicken that was burned on both sides which is not even close to edible. They havea good concept but need major improvement on their chicken since it is their specialty. I would have to agree the sauce is good so i might just buy the sauce at a local superstore and buy the pre cooked chicken at super store for a better meal.

Ive waited quite a while to make my way to Nandos since their opening. With an overflow of comments on how long the line would be for not only a table, but also for food; hungry Anna aint a patient Anna. Thankfully, my patience was granted with a delicious meal. We got to the restaurant around 6:30. The wait for a table was around 20 minutes, so once we sat down the waitress told us the drill. Fast and casual is the type of service youll be getting at Nandos, you order and pay at the counter and tell them your table number. Then grab your cups and wander over to the station to get your own drinks, utensils, and sauces. The food would then be walked over to your table. There are also a couple of servers walking around just in case you needed anything else. Service was, all in all, friendly and very efficient. The Classic ($29.95) which consisted of a whole chicken and a side of our choice; we chose the Peri Peri Fries. The Classic also came with half portuguese buns and half garlic bread. We also had a small side order of the Spiced Rice ($3.75) Ive had Nandos twice before in Vancouver, and it was just as delicious as I remembered it to be. The chicken is REALLY good, not one part of the white meat was dry. Overall, it was moist and very flavorful. The skin was grilled perfectly with a balance of caramelization which honestly made it a perfect bite as well. Fries were standard, I expected more seasoning on them to be honest. The rice was a good choice, though for the amount we received, $3.75 seemed a rip off. Must be the Asian in me though. Id recommend coming to try the Peri Peri Chicken at least once. Id eventually be back to Nandos but not really worth the drive, unless Im in a dire mood from craving chicken that isn’t fried.

Tender, tasty, juicy chicken at a reasonable price. I had chicken piri piri in Portugal years ago and have been searching for it since–until now. It was just like Portugal. Only thing was, i had never been here before so hostess seated me (no line up on a Monday nite at 5:00), gave me a menu and i sat there waiting to order for 10 minutes. Finally called a waiter over who informed me I must order at the counter (around the corner from my table). The chicken arrived fairly promptly after ordering and was exceptionally tasty. I had 1/2 a chicken, fries and water and it was only $15. This will be my new favourite chicken place.
