AMAZING Persian in Edmonton. My family has frequented Shiraz for a long time now. We have never had a negative experience. Every dish on the menu is flawless Persian and the customer service is top notch. LOVE this restaurant!
Disgusting. This is one of the worst resturants I have eaten at in the city. I went here for lunch and I was the only one in there at noon, not usually a good sign but I decided to order anyways. I ordered the chicken stew with rice first of all the rice was cooked fresh the saffron rice came from a tray sitting on the table. My stew was cooked in a not so authentic microwave oven.27 Jan, 2015Terrible. This is truly a terrible resturant. Came here for lunch and I was the only person there so defiantly not a good sign right off the bat. I watched the owner just grab some rice from a pot and safe on rice stands from a dish left on the counter. My stew was authentically cooked in a microwave and presented to me. Would never come back for frozen food.
Not at all Pesian. Had to wait more than 45mins for food..does not tasted Persian at all and we were served just plain white rice… that is that Persian…no salad with food??? that is not Persian .. we had to order salad separately.not going back here. waste of time and money and no satisfaction.
I’m not Persian and probably don’t know the authentic Persian cuisine but I really enjoy good at Shiraz compared to a few other places in Edmonton and Calgary. The portion is great and the price is affordable. The owner is friendly and pleasant.
Ignore everything that the negative comment says! This restaurant is extremely affordable and delicious. The owner is very sweet – after we left the restaurant and were walking to the car, he came out with two desserts for us. It is a hidden gem for sure! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an authentic Persian experience 🙂
Horrible. By looking it seems it will be a good restaurant, but realize after visiting all reviews written were fake or posted by owner himself, its it far away from authentic Persian food and aroma, its not cheap at all, $20 for Single person meal called cheap !!! Worst customer service waited for 30min after calling the manger or owner to come with menu please. I order Bakhtyari they give only 5 very small smelly beaf cubes and 5 small cubes of chicken, 2 bar-b-que tomato with plain rice (rice not having Persian food aroma and the ingredients they are just plain white rice) i order some yoghourt drink with soda which might taste good to some people but personally I don’t impress with it, point to note $3 for single pop which is good in bars but waste of money in this kind of restaurants Missing Ontario for good food Will never return to that place for sure
Very tasty, well spiced Persian fare at a reasonable price and huge proportions. I had the zereshk polo ba morgh (http://www.shiraz-restaurant.com/menu-1/entrees/zereshk-polo-ba-morgh) and the tartness of the barberries reallycomplemented the delicacy of the saffron. Definitely will be returning.
