Mary. Food is great; but they have a hard time getting an order right!!!! Drove 20 minutes to get there. Waited 10 minutes for food only to drive all the way home to my hungry family to find that the chicken was meeting from our family meal.
We are served pre cook food… There are three of us when we visit this location i ordered a bacon cheeseburger. It was cold as 3 dayold bread the meat is so dry and cold as ice. And when i tried the food of my husband it was a so sour rice topped with cold shrimp.. i will never go back in this place.
I’ve eaten take out from here three times and keep going back because there garden salad is the best anywhere. Super fresh and crunchy! Love the quarter chicken and multi grain bun. I’ve never been one the restaurant so I can’t talk about that. All three times I’ve been to the drive-through, the person at the window has been the same. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Very kind and efficient.
I don’t understand all of the negative reviews — maybe it’s just the dine-in experience. We ordered Swiss Chalet for delivery this afternoon. My husband ordered a quarter chicken as always and I ordered the Thai Chicken Curry (with shrimp instead of chicken) that I had never tried before. And, as always, the order was 100% correct and the chicken was consistent. Also, as always, they arrived at our door less than half an hour from our ordering. We are completely satisfied with what we pay for what we get. My husband, again as always, loved his meal. My meal was the best delivery meal I’ve ever had. Thanks SC!
Turnoff. My son and I went for dinner on April 17, 2014. The whole visit was horrible! It started with a dirty dish to use for our appetizer to dry ribs, poor service and a manager that should get some training on how to deal with customers. I usually really enjoy going to Swiss Chalet but this place was a turnoff. I wish we had of just got up and left.I would not recommend this location to anybody.
Terrible. I took my family to Swiss Chalet in South Edmonton Common yesterday after back to school shopping, hoping for a nutricious meal that would appeal to not only my husband and I, but a 10, 7 and 4 year old. We will never go back.The service was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, a lady who appeared to be a manager indicated that she needed a few minutes to get a table ready for us. She then proceeded to help a number of people picking up take out, even though there was a staff member already there doing the same thing. At no time did she advise another staff member to prepare a table. After about 10 minutes, we were directed to a table in teh lounge area that had been sitting there ready the entire time we were waiting.Once seated, we placed our order in good time, but it then took an inordinately long time to get our meals. We had arrived after the dinner rush, the restaurant was not busy (the parking lot was about 1/3 full) and there didn’t seem to be any reasonable explaination for what seemed to be a 45 mintue wait. During that time, we also observed kitchen staff in dirty uniforms and hair nets serving other tables (where WAS the waitress?). When our dinners arrived, a different member of the wait staff arrived with some of our meals, and obviously didn’t know who had ordered what. Well, I guess at least we didn’t get the woman in the apron and hair net.Our waitress checked up on us once during the meal, and because she was so remarkably absent during the rest of our stay, my daughter was unable to place another order for a glass of milk. We had to ask for our bill when our waitress did appear but was walking past our table, at which point she cleaned the table but didn’t leave the bill. We asked again, paid and left.I’m tired of wait staff treating their patrons as if its somehow our fault that they didn’t get the job with the corner office right out of high school. Just came back from New York City, where staff take pride in their jobs – I don’t need anyone falling over me and treating me like a queen, put some geniune pride in doing a good job would be nice.
