The OG board game cafe in Edmonton IMO. They have a wide selection of food, drinks and games. Friendly service and lots of fun. If your located in the south side, this is the go to place!

Experience could have been better. The warm beverages that I’ve tried don’t compare too nicely with other cafes I’ve visited in Edmonton. I think maybe they’re more concerned with the food than with the drinks, and the sandwich I had was really good, but if you’re a cafe I think you need to step up your game with drinks. When I went, it wasn’t very busy so I asked for a hand learning a game. The lady on staff was very nice and said she’d come as soon as she finished a drink order, but never ended up coming even after I asked her a second time about 15 minutes later.

Cool Spot. I come here frequently with coworkers and for the $5 admission it can’t be beat as they have a wide selection of games. I haven’t tried much of their food but they have wide selection of appealing items. My favorite is the candy cups for $3. They are also licensed and have a full espresso machine. The staff here are warm and friendly. Really nice place.

What a fun place to hang out! I was not sure about hanging out at the board game cafe because I did not know what to expect. But my group decided to pick something random and give it a try. We sat for awhile trying to figure out the board game, but later saw another group just asking the employee, which we should’ve done! We ended up spending about 3hours there and had a great time. The food was also delicious!

Such a fun place. I’m a big fan of their business concept and I love seeing how busy it is everytime I walk in. They’ve got a wide range of snacks for just about any craving including mini pizzas, paninis, soups (for those cold wintery days coming), nachos with hummus or salsa, and burritos… however the changing selection in the penny-store style candy jars are always fun. Their beverage menu is impressive and everyone so far has consistently enjoyed the hot and iced drinks they mix up. Love this place. Looking forward to going back again soon. Don’t forget to make reservations!

Fun Experience!. So we just had to come the day before the grand opening. Though some of the things weren’t up and running yet, Brian Flowers was kind enough to accomodate our food needs before we dived into the games. Like kids in a candy store we rummaged through the large assortment of board games, found us a nice cozy table with comfy chairs (thank you very much for that!), enjoyed our paninis and coffees and had a really good time. Time flew by and three hours later we had tried three different games. Brian was so helpful to come around and explain how to play some of the games we selected so we wouldn’t have to tackle the pages of instructions. We like it here,…. a lot,…and plan to make this a frequent destination. It’s a nice space and comfortable and such a great addition to the city.24 Aug, 2013Board Game Geeks Alert!. Ahh…just what we’ve always wanted! This is no internet cafe,..this is sitting down with a cup of java and a bowl of candy or popcorn and a sandwich and playing a board game and interacting face to face with people and having a good time. This is such a great concept and we can’t wait until they open. With 300 games to choose from and $5/ pp for unlimited game/play time,…what a steal! Not to mention you can stay up until 2 in the morning! I’m hoping we can frequent this place often,…at least on the weekends. It’s a little bit of a drive for us, but I think it would be worth it. 🙂
