  Service is beyond poor. It’s Friday night and there’s an open stage. We had a meal (it was ok). There aren’t a lot of people in here, but the one server has planted herself behind the bar, currently sipping a coffee. To get table service you have try to catch her eye or wave like mad. If she would actually come to the table and ask if we want anything else we’d drink more and the establishment would make more money.The open stage host is great, but doubt if I’ll ever come back.

  Thankyou to everyone who came out for our new years party. I have been working at xwrecks for over a year now and what a difference are new bar owner and cook have made. We have a lot of our followers back and enjoying all the possitive changes xwrecks has accomplished. Also 2 of our ex xwrecks employees are back wich has helped bring back what xwrecks is known for a community pub where friends and family come to laugh and share good old time xwrecks stories. Our new cook has built an amazing reputation for the food again best omelette in town and best homemade soups cam your rocking it buddy. Also the owners wife makes her homemade dumplings spring rolls and everyones favorite deep fried wontons on the weekend she is a sweet heart and customers are loving her. There is some negative reviews going around on these sites due to past employees making the choices of quiting. I believe these sites should be used not for gossip and drama but for pure intentions on helping our local buisnesses succeed in our communities and keep Edmontons reputation as a tight family orientated blue collar everyday people city. Edmonton i love you and xwrecks shows what edmontonians are all about. Nice cold beer great service and homemade cooking and a good old laugh everynight.

  I found this lounge to be less than satisfying. Just walking in makes you want to turn around and walk right back out. But my wife and I decided to stay. The decor looks like an old buffet restaurant and come to find out it actually was! I had the burger, which in the old location was in my opinion the best in town. That day however it was cold, small and the bread tasted kind of mouldy. My wife had a pasta dish that was goopy and tasteless. On top of it all was a very loud waitress that didn’t do much. It seemed like if you wanted any service you had better walk up to the bar because she was stationed there. We were however treated to some free entertainment when said waitress began screaming and throwing profanities at a customer who in the time I was there seemed to keep to himself. The argument lasted quite sometime in which we just tried to pay our bill and get out of there. Expensive drinks and lack luster food along with seedy staff make this a place we will never visit again.

  This place serves your typical bar food. burgers, steak sandwiches, etc. The place looks pretty run down, but the service is friendly and fast. Food is sub par.

  The bacon cheese burger is decent and it’s not that expensive. If choosing between other burger options in the capilano area I’d go to Xwrecks. And wear a leather jacket
