Best food truck I have tried so far in Calgary. The bun bowl was very tasty, with super tender and flavorful charbroiled pork. Good portion size, all the sauces laid out and little wait time. Would definitely eat there again.
The lemon grass Banh Mi was big and it was actually pretty good. The bread was nice and toasted, there were a lot of pickled carrots and daikon and the lemon grass chicken was flavorful. I wish there was cilantro in my sub and it would have tasted better if we added more soy sauce to it at the sauce station.The portion size for the vermicelli bowl with BBQ pork and pork spring rolls was good and there was a lot of charbroiled pork. The spring rolls were crispy but it was lacking flavor even after I dunked it into the bun sauce with sriracha mixture.Overall, the price and portion size is pretty good considering its from a food truck. I would rather grab Vietnamese food from here than a lot of the overpriced Vietnamese restaurants in downtown.
Excellent Vietnamese Bun!I have eaten from this truck a couple of times now, with the same excellent overall quality. Both times I have had the Bun (vermicelli bowl) – once with the BBQ pork and pork springrolls, the other time with the lemongrass chicken and pork springrolls. Both times the meat was flavorful, tender and hot. Pork springrolls are excellent. Service is fast and friendly.Overall comparable to the better Vietnamese sit-down restaurants in Calgary, and definitely better than the other Vietnamese food truck. Highly recommended.
