It was ok…could be much better. Too subdued not enough zip.. It was a nice time. Not great. Our group drifted out after a while. Music choices not the best. Too slow. Not enough ‘bop’. Just as everyone got in dance mode…blah selections…slowed it down. We all then left for elsewhere for more zip.Food average. Good service.
Not super impressed, unfortuately!. They seemed severely understaffed in the bar and on the floor as well. Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of musical knowledge beyond today’s top 40 and yesterday’s radio hits.
What a joke. Astronomically over-priced. I was almost embarrassed for them. $18 for a chicken caeser salad that was the size of a side salad. $22.50 for Nachos that were about 2/3 the size of a good pub who would priced at about $16-$17. Oh, and this place is, is just a slightly upscale pub.The entertainment is good, with the dueling pianos – but there is nothing justifying upscale restaurant prices for a pub. Next.
It was fun. I think some of the bad reviews are from a ways past. My friends and I had a good time, food was what you expect at pub, waitress was friendly. Good times.
Fun!. Don’t go expecting a huge menu or gourmet food. Do go expecting to have some good appetizers ( calamari was great ) and do go with a group of friends! The cover charge is $11 but it is worth the experience of the live dueling pianos and the energetic crowds! About 9 PM the piano players come out and start taking requests; have some small bills on hand for personal requests. They are great with sing along songs and getting the crowd involved. An Aussie themed bar, the seats are long wooden benches or sturdy wooden chairs. They need these because it seems there is a lot of dancing on chairs! I went to help a friend celebrate her birthday and it was a lot of fun. I would give it an 8.5 for entertainment and a solid 6.5 for food. Service can be a tad slow, but the place was packed! Call ahead for reservations of you are bringing a large group.
Fun place, horrible horrible food. Very exciting and fun atmosphere, not really my type of place but I enjoyed myself, the piano players were fun and great, but my god, the food is the worst, it isn’t even standard pub food, it is borderline garbage, the food stands at the Calgary stampede are miles ahead of the quality of the food here, and for that reason I just have to give it a thumbs down.
Cool Venue. The service was friendly, but they are busy, so it takes time to get your drinks. The food is regular pub fare – nothing too exciting. But the atmosphere is AWESOME. So much fun, lots of singing and dancing. I can’t imagine anyone not having fun here! It is for people who are young and young at heart and don’t take themselves too seriously. Good, clean fun. Boring people, stay home.
