I remember eating at this Chinese restaurant way before cell phones. Love these family operated restaurants. The egg roll was the way an egg roll should taste. Fresh and hot with good ingredients. The meal also was hot with fresh veggies and more on the plate then I can eat. Leftovers for another day. Great friendly server and quick service.Strongly recommend
One of my closest friends growing up was Chinese. I had many, many home-cooked Chinese meals there; needless to say I know good, homemade Chinese food well. That being said, Bings in Stony Plain is THE BEST Chinese food restaurant! There are also non-Chinese cuisine items available on the menu. Ive had a few items and theyre really good!Bings is owned and managed by the current mayor, who has been there several times Ive been there despite having a full-time job as our busy mayor. Every employee I have encountered has been very kind, helpful, courteous, and friendly. I have a sensitive stomach when it comes to processed food as it gives me horrible diarrhoea. I can assure you that the food at Bings Stony Plain is made from scratch! You can easily ask for customisations such as no MSG in your meal – something I do as I am sensitive to it.The restaurant is older, quiet, and everything isnt brand new and shiny, BUT it is VERY clean. The bathroom stalls are VERY small and really could use to be enlarged. I bent to pick something up that I dropped and banged my head on the mobility grab bar. My head hurt for a week. The womens washroom (I am a woman and have not seen the mens washroom) does not have a wheelchair accessible stall and is too small for even walker or cane users. The room is small with two super-tiny stalls. There is an ashtray right next to the door to the restaurant, which means people are smoking RIGHT next to the door – violating the legal distance away that they should be from businesses; not to mention polluting the air for us asthmatics who want to get inside. Ive asked people to move and had mixed reactions. I know the restaurant cannot control the actions of its guests but it can remove the ashtray and put signs up asking people to move away from the entrance to smoke.
Don’t care for Stony Plain Bing’s, the recipes taste totally different, and not in a good way. I’ll stick with Spruce Grove location. Bland, greasy, not good at all.
