Quaint little restaurant- was shopping in town and asked a local where to eat and they recommended this place. Staff was friendly, seated and took our orders promptly. I had high expectations for this cute place however the food was unremarkable. The mashed potatoes were like glue and were not appetizing or eatable. The lentils that apparently were substituted for the veg needed salt and tasted like ketchup. The ribs were good but still a bit fatty. Unfortunately for the price I don’t think I will return to this establishment which is too bad because I think it has a lot of potential to be a hidden gem in the community.
Usually great food but the Easter buffet was terrible. From lack of food to under cooked potatoes , so hard you could not bite them. Felt sorry for the servers as they were under staffed for the amount of people there15 Mar, 2013My wife and I had lunch there for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The food was homemade and very tasty. Try try the club wrap with soup, very good. Great pie also. Would recommend this place and will be back
Back Home Cookin’. You just have to go here for the great home cooked food. It was a nice little find for us and we sure did feel at home. The pies are a delight! If you look on their website, there’s usually a ‘daily special’ as well. Downside is they’re only open until 4, but they’re open 7 days a week. While there, check out the attached school museum, it’s pretty neat. Also there is a gift shop across from them that has a lot of cool stuff.http://multicentre.org/wp/visit-us-5/homesteaders-kitchen-2
Do the Patio. Here for lunch with gal pals. Everyone loved the food and the pie was a great deal. We ate outside which was devine. Recommended by Sunny Day for a sunny day
