Disappointing!Last summer we stopped by and thought the service was poor &the waitresswas just having a bad day. No, this was the same again! We wanted to park our two cars in the parking lot and have a drink or ice cream then go for a short bike ride and then return for another snack or meal after the ride. Before we could unload our bikes the waitress came outside and told us that her parking lot wasfor customers only. I explained that we were planning on having an ice cream/drink etc. but she told me to park our cars somewhere else and cycle over afterwards. We left and did not return. The owner should know that we will never returnagain unless we are reassured that the customer service improvesand wewill tell all our cycling friends about the negative experience we had. Katie’s Crossing lost more than just 4 hungry and thirsty customers today!
Cute place! Use to come here all the time when I was a little girl. Haven’t been back in all most 10 years now. I’m now 22 years old and brought my 25 year old boyfriend there for his first time and be loved it. So many great memories and picture made here today for a nice lunch. Service was fast and friendly food was filling and well done. Walked around the whole place had a blast ! A hidden gem. Will be back again
Happy accident! Old trains still on a track with a collection of other old items for you to walk around. The caboose serves burgers, fries, fish n chips and ice cream. This cash only, casual, mom and pop style diner was a great stop on my Saturday drive.
Best Experiance Ever. My Co-worker and I have been waiting since February to go to this restaurant. It was worth the wait, it was a great place all around. The lady serving us had a great sense of humor and a very friendly attitude. The food was awesome and the rustic features of the property was a nice change of pace. Overall great experience, will for sure return.
WORST THAN FASTFOOD!!!!!. Will never set foot in this place EVER again. first, the food was fried and greasy, nothing extraordinary really. second, staff were extremely rude! I asked the owner if she can slice the burger for my grandpa, she gave me a knife instead and said slice it myself. third, the husband was doing construction without his plate number and on a handicapped zone. when confronted, he was adamant he was jeopardizing the lives of its customers. Rednecks really!!!!
Eat in a Real railway car sitting on railway ties. Limited by space because everyone eats in a railway car. Kids love it. Fun place to go and certainly would recommend for people to take a trip out to the country and explore the old railcars they have on display. As you can imagine this is not your typical wok box type of place. Unique experience.Oh yes, and they serve food too! Basic and limited menu mostly burgers and stuff. They have bison burgers and some other items on the menu that you will not find most places.Worth going to at least once. Eating experience not the highlight but the unique environment certainly makes up.Would recommend.
Summer late afternoon drive.. Perfect place to go on a warm summer afternoon….. Take the kids and drive out to Kate’s Crossing and have some ice cream. Remember back when your parents took you out for the Sunday drive and ice cream. Take a look at the train collection. Tiger is always my favorite.
