The bingsu in Dream Tea House is delicious and quite reasonably priced! I love how they offer boardgames too, those definitely enhanced my experience at the cafe by a lot 😀 The service could have been better, but the ambience was nice and peaceful. Definitely becoming a regular here ^_^
1 year ago, I would have given this place around a 4.5. However, since then there have been a multitude of other chain bubble tea places that have opened that are just simply better bubble tea than what Dream Tea has, and some having better food too. With multiple Gong Cha, Cha Time, Quickly, Coco’s, and other smaller bubble tea places all within a 5-10 minute drive from this location (Gong Cha being a <5 min walk), it's clear that the bubble tea options have changed the market in Edmonton, and Dream Tea doesn't have the popularity and presence that it once had in Edmonton.Overall, a lot of their drinks are powdery and a little more on the sweet side. I think this location in particular does a good job with keeping it more like fresh fruit than powder. Today I tried their recently hyped up Bingsoo and was extremely disappointed. Very underwhelming, shaved ice with a bit of condensed milk at the bottom is not Bingsoo. Definitely needs much more condensed milk throughout. Size was a little on the smaller side but considering it was $7.99 or $8.99 per, there isn’t much that can be talked about there. Service was average as usual like any bubble tea place (who goes to bubble tea places for the experience anyways haha)Dream tea may still be a popular place to go to for some people and they are probably gonna do just fine, however the last few times I’ve gone in the last year I noticed the demographics of their customers have drastically changed. It’s a totally different crowd that goes to Dream Tea compared to all the other bubble tea places. Whenever my friends and I are out and we suggest bubble tea places to go, Dream Tea is always near the bottom now. I used my full stamp card today and with that I am unlikely to come back to Dream Tea beyond their promos. All in all, for me Dream Tea has been the victim of market competition from many other companies, and simply does not have the quality to keep up with them. Not recommended.
Amazing bubble tea. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants bubble tea. The daily specials are also great, because sometimes you just want something to much on while your enjoying a nice milk tea.
Taro Bubble Tea .. to be tasted for no doubt Sooo yummm. Planning to try Avocado next time .. Nice place to have fun sipping bubble tales with friends…
Dream Tea is the perfect hang out spot on a weekend evening when you want to grab a treat. They have a huge menu with lots of flavours and their green onion cakes are delicious. Their flavours are sweet, and the tapioca pearls are a good texture, a little more firm than most places which is how I prefer it personally. My absolute favourite that I’ve had is coconut, but I’ve tried almost all the flavours of milk bubble tea and watermelon, taro, and chocolate are my other top choices.
Great place for bubble tea in Edmonton. Endless variety of flavours, add-on options, custom drinks, and food. Love their fresh fruit smoothies especially honeydew and watermelon. If you don’t want tapioca bubbles, you can choose mango jelly, lychee jelly, pineapple jelly, green apple jelly, rainbow jelly, grass jelly, agar, aloe, and fruit popping bubbles. I usually get a fresh honeydew slush with lychee jelly, lychee soy milk bubble tea with rainbow jelly & tapioca bubbles, or an Oreo taro bbt with tapioca bubbles. Love the drink variety this place offers. They have multiple pages of different types of drinks such as milk bubble tea, fresh fruit smoothies, fruit juice smoothies, slushed, iced tea, milk tea, sea salt milk cap, milk shakes, coolers, and hot drinks. They also have shaved ice desserts where you can create your own or choose from their signature creations. The food is pretty tasty good here too. I would recommend the BBQ Duck Green Onion Wrap, Korean-style Grilled Pork Wrap, and the Taiwanese fried chicken. They have quite a bit of comfort food options to choose from which is great. Service was polite, friendly, and fast. The ambiance and interior was clean, warm, laid back, and comfortable. They have multiple seating options from leather couches to tables with chairs. If you’re looking to satisfy your bubble tea fix, I highly recommend coming here
Service is friendly and fast, that’s if you’re lucky and you go when it’s quiet and not a big rush. Chicken is nice and crispy! Milk cap isn’t as good as gama, but their bubble tea is pretty standard! Nice chill spot.
