The best vietnamese around. Been to many place in calgary and this one in strathmore beats them all. Have the V6 and you’ll be hooked.
Very friendly! Great selection
Disappointed. I went there at 6:15pm with my very young son, and the first thing i noticed was the place was understaffed. The poor waitress was almost in tears trying to keep up with the tables. Nevertheless I waited and put my order in, knowing that it would be awhile. While I don’t blame the waitress, I was upset that my order came in AFTER three other tables that had come in after I did. The seafood Pho I had ordered might as well of been water with noodles in it and bits of shrimp. If you don’t know how to make the savory broth that Pho is so famous for, don’t put it on the menu. The tempura I had was good though. When I left (and I got my stir fry to go, I never even ate it) it was 8pm. All in all, I’m willing to pay for good service and food but I would not be willing to spend my money there again.
Holey bowl. We recently moved to the Strathmore area, from Calgary, and are big fans of Vietnamese cuisine, so we tried Oriental Grill. I always try Pho first, from any new restaurant, and set the bar from there. While the food was pretty good, my ‘to go’ bowl had a hole in the bottom (not caused by me), and when I poured the broth and other ingredients into it, half the broth ended up on the kitchen floor. I called Oriental Grill back to voice my concern, left a message, and it’s been about 3 weeks without a reply. I am not sure if we will eat there again because of this. This may sound petty, but I’m not normally one to complain. Hopefully there’s another option for Vietnamese, in Strathmore.
The Pho here is pretty bad. I’ve had worse but I expected a lot better
By far the best vietnamese food I have every had. (And I have tried lots) awesome food great service
Very tasty. looks better inside than out. i recommend the pork dumplings and beef satay pho
