Always a great family friendly restaurant experience. We travel out there every now and then because of their special catering to their youngest clients.They offer a baby plate free of charge which has a great amount of mash potatoes and seasonal veggies. They bring it first so that they can eat while the parents wait for their food.The food quality isn’t too bad depending on what you order. I went for the Mothers Meatloaf this evening and the star of the plate (the meatloaf) is smothered in way too much mushroom gravy which takes away from the entire dish.But overall, a good old fashion mom and pop style restaurant.
Pretty good!. We stopped here on the way back to Calgary and was warmly welcomed by the hostess, seated at a nice table and enjoyed the bruschetta, the best we have had in ages! The fish and chips were yummy and dessert was also just as good. The decor is beautiful, the place is very clean and service was fantastic! Very enjoyable!!
Worst Service Ever. I use to go to the Station Pub quite often but I will never go back. They staff is quite rude and the Evening manager is quite a piece of work. I saw her drop a chicken wing on the floor and then replace it to the plate that was served to our table. When she was confronted about it she denied it and then told us to keep it down so the other table would not hear us complain. We were appalled when she said she was the manager In her accent. Unless you like eating off the floor I would not go there…Concerned patron….
Dirty Strathmore Station Restaurant. Service was pleasant, but the place is dirty. We were sticking to our table, and experience we had on a previous visit. We decided to wipe down the table with baby wipes and they came off totally black, it was so gross!!!!The waitress saw us wiping out own table, but just ignored us like it was a common practice at that restaurant. It makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen and safety of the food they are serving you for sure if their tables are that filthy, and the staff just don’t care. This was my favourite restaurant in the past prior to them expanding, but now they raised up their prices and don’t seem to clean the place, so I probably won’t be visiting this restaurant again. Its too bad, they use to be such a great restaurant!
I lived in strathmore briefly in 2001 and 2002 and since then I’ve probably eaten there at least 100 times. Let me start by saying I’ve been to restaurants in 6 countries and Strathmore station is EASILY in the top 5 best. I’ve had many friends and family go there and they all love it as well. I’ve always had good service, only once have I not enjoyed my food (stir fry had so much sauce it was almost unedible, probably could have got 1/2 cup of sauce out of the bowl when I finished). There have been a couple times where the food wasn’t what I was expecting by the description, but always still enjoyable. One time I showed up with a group of 12-15 people. We were given a private area, drinks and food came out fast and everything was right. After we finished we were asked if we would like dessert. We all said no, but our server did such a good job at talking about the desserts that half of us ordered one (that’s impressive). But ya, the station is amazing and I will stop there any time I pass through strathmore and have time. Well worth going.
Worst service I have ever had anywhere ever! Save your money people! Went in to have a fun night with friends as soon as the waitress approached us I wanted to leave. She couldn’t even fake a smile, terrible attitude, thought she was too good to be there, very stuck up, I asked for a margarita she made me a tequila shot in Bellini slush! maybe bartending isn’t for you! I told my waitress I wasn’t willing to drink it nor pay for it, snotty little waitress told me to take it up with the bartender! Ha I just left and will never go back!!
Please avoid this place!. Very unprofessional service! They don’t want you to have fun and will kick you out for having fun with your friends at your table. Very miserable staff. Our waitress used the f bombs every sentence. Just sad!I will not be back.
