Love this hidden gem prices are affordable and the food is delicious. Service is very friendly. Their avocado milkshakes are the best I have ever had, I crave them on the regular. The pho and grilled meat bowl are my go to items when I order as well as the home made spring rolls
Excellent Satay soup. Better then most. $12 for medium. $14 for large. Would have rated it higher except for the cost.Service very friendly which is a big bonus. We can say we had a very good time.
I use to go here quite often years ago but I haven’t been there in a while. Last week I decided to stop in with a friend for a bowl of pho since my regular pho place was closed. Service was ridiculously fast…however their pho broth was barely hot and their spring rolls were cold and not at all as good as I recall them being. Service was mehthe lady serving us didnt speak a single word to us.I also noticed the forks that they gave us were dirty (even though I never requestednor use a fork for eating pho). I also had a bit of a gut ache after. Definitely will not be back.
I was very intrigued by the reviews here and thought we had finally found a decent pho place in Edmonton (despite the harsh reality my friends who moved here says they’ve given up on finding good food). We came at an odd hour around 4pm and there were still a couple tables there. The servers are Vietnamese and hardly seem friendly. Never once did they check on us or made an eye contact. My be got up to the counter to ask for sauce dishes and she made him serve himself by pointing to him where to get it. My bf ordered the bun bo hue, the broth was sweet and spicy but a bit too much chili oil. I determined it was decent with my one tbs. It didn’t come with any cabbage or the veg that we are used to accommodating bun bo hues. My bf said there wasn’t enough meat while I tried #31 and had a abundance of super well done beef. My bowl was advertised as bun bo hue broth and satay broth. Holy moles, the peanut in the broth was super overpowering.Overall, though I was trying to prove my friends wrong, I guess they’re right, the food can’t compare to Calgary.
Beef satay was absolutely delicious. The broth has a slight tomato flavour which makes it a bit sweeter than most pho that I’ve had, but has a lot of depth and pairs well with the amount of heat. Plenty of vermicelli, cucumber, green onion and thinly sliced beef, no grissle or fat that you may find at some Viet restaurants. Very clean kitchen and dining room, fast service, large portions, reasonable prices, and huge selection of dishes. Definitely a hidden gem on the west side of the city!
Very good place if you’re in the west end, tucked away in the strip malls across from West Edmonton Mall. They are very fairly priced and you can see the family owner ship when momma is working as she views diners eating. Anyways to the food. The Pho here is pretty good in my books even though Pho is pretty run of the mill now. However their Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) has good amount of heat which I like. Too many places don’t make it spicy enough. And their salad rolls are pretty tasty as well, not too much filler with cabbage/lettuce nonsense.
Good size, even at regular size. Compared to other cities (Vancouver, Montreal), the pho is not quite on par. But if your dying for some pho, this place is acceptable. Tried the wings, no so good. Too much batter and not much taste to it.
