Good quality, fresh food. Standard sizes at a standard price. The beef shawarma is a step above most of the competition. 10/10 would eat here again. Average prices and difficult parking keeps it from getting a full 5/5.
Food tastes good but it’s slightly more expensive than the competition in the neighbourhood. The options are plenty sand there’s adequate seating. Service is prompt too
Service was okay. People seemed friendly. The food on the other hand… Not okay. The spice on the chicken tasted like a combination of brown sugar, cinnamon. And nutmeg-not good at all. But the worst part had to be biting into cartilage in the 1st bite…. And the 3rd bite… 4th bite-more bloody cartilage!! What the heck!I only ate half…and the Shawarma grossed me out. In the garbage it went. My fianc ate a few pieces too. They must not trim their meat. That’s nasty. Totally disappointing.
Worse chicken platter I’ve ever had! The chicken was super dry – it looked as if it had been sitting in the tray all day, pieces of lettuce in the salad were brown indicating how old it was, and the potatoes just looked old. The garlic sauce didn’t have much garlic flavour and had the texture of petroleum jelly. I will never eat at this place again!
I’ve had no problem with the service here. Usually two guys that come up front- one guy cuts and weighs the meat and the other preps the pita with veggies and toppings. I’m usually in and out within 5 minutes. I’ve only had the donair and chicken shawarma wraps and prefer the donair. I really like that they cut the meat slices thick, not thin like most other places
When I am in this area, this is the only place I go to for donairs. They take your order quickly, make your food just as fast and then you’re out of there with a delicious late night snack! I would recommend this place to someone asking me where to get good donairs.
THE GOOD: Nothing; THE MEDIOCRE: Chicken Shawarma and rice; THE BAD: The service. Only 4 people in restaurant and 3 employees at counter but not greated when entered, stood there for several minutes without order taken, and employees lack communication skills for new customers (toppings: do you want everything? It’s my first time, what is everything? Do you want all of the vegetables? What are my choices (no list)?).
