Expensive but AWESOME!!!!. I ordered a Lucie Ladybug cake 4 days in advance and it was gorgeous and turned out exactly as shown on the website. It was absolutely delicious and the staff that helped me we very friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend Cakeworks to anyone looking for a great, reliable, beyond cute cake 🙂
Not the Cookies!!!. I have had cake from Cake Works before which were well decorated and tasty. This time around I decided to order some decorated cookies for my sisters baby shower. I ordered 38 pieces including some larger bears and tiny buttons (which were part of their 38 count) and paid ~$120. Although the cookies looked great they were very disappointing in taste! The cookie were very hard and had no flavour. For spending over $100 I expected better quality cookies. It is not a purchase I would make again and has deterred me from any future orders with Cake Works. It’s really too bad but perhapse they should just focus on cakes.
Delicious Cakes. I have used them for work birthday cakes in the past and have never been disappointed. I decided to have them make a cake for my fundraiser and they did an amazing job! The icing was tasty, a little too sweet for some of the guests but the filling (chocolate mousse with toffee) was loved by everyone!!! The cake itself was moist. I would not hesitate to order a cake from them again! Just a note though… if you order a cake with a dark icing, it will stain your mouth. It isn’t a big deal but some people might not want that. If you are worried about that, just ask them.
