Service is good and they give you lots of noodles… aside from that I say my wonton lo mein was mediocre. Not enough sauce with the enormous amount of noodles and the noodles dried fast. I had congee for take out before and that was decent from by recollection. I know either way I’ll be coming back cuz my fianc likes it here. Maybe my review will improve!
As noted by others its a bit plain and worn , but the food is very good, great noodles made in house, very reasonable prices,great place to have good quick lunch, have always enjoyed it and today was no exception.
The restaurant looks super run down and doesn’t give a very good first impression, but looks aren’t everything. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices of the dishes on the menu. They’re cheaper than the prices at other Chinese restaurants. I love how some dishes are offered in regular or family size. The regular size is perfect for 2 people. In addition, they offer lunch and dinner specials at reasonable prices. I really enjoy their ginger pork and ginger beef. Service is always great when I come by. The waitress is very friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. Cleanliness is definitely an issue though. If they focused more on keeping the restaurant clean there would be nothing to criticize at this restaurant.
I came here because u guys review this at 4.1 order: beef satay chow mein… 3/10 soggy noodles and cheap tasting. Ginger chicken. 1/10 soooo soggy it was small pieces of chicken inside mussy sweet n sour sauce. Also there was barely enough to cover the bottom surface of the dish. Very upset.House special fried rice. 7/10 the only decent thing we order. Decent meat .Best chinese food in my opinion would be tea pot in the nw or dragon gate in Mardi loop
As most reviews on here. Nothing to complain about. Cheap decent food. Fairly quick service and friendly staff. Variety of food. Place is a but out of date but that doesn’t bother me. It’s a good afterwork place to go if you are in the area. A bit hidden though
The best won ton noodles in calgary can be found at this plainly decorated chinese diner. There are both authentic and westernised items on the menu. Reasonably priced. I sometimes make it a point to come here when I come to this part of the city.
I love this place. If you are a noodle lover like me this is the spot for you. The noodles are made fresh at least all the dishes I have tried. The pork noodle soup, not a fan broth is too mild for my taste I like a kick in the teeth flavor wise when it comes to soup broths. The fried rice noodle with beef in black bean sauce is my favorite dish the freshness of the noodles & the flavor of the black bean sauce is astounding. I also really like the yee mein with mushrooms & pork the yee mein noodles are chewy & have more bite too them & the flavor is milder than I usually like but it works. The pork & veg dumplings are good but have had much better elsewhere. The satay chicken chow mein is wonderful too. Will be back here soon.
