Poor. Concept is great and waitress was amazing until the wheels fell off the buss. 7oz steak, forget the fact it was definitely not 7oz, was disgusting. Maybe 4oz at the most. The fries done in cold oil, had w weird chemical taste, and could taste them 2 hours after eating. After all this and all the orders being incorrect we got a 10% discount. Do you purchase a vehicle and because the product is poor or inferior get a 10% discount? Nope. Will never recommend this place. I was sick less than 12 hours of eating here.
Attended Public Beer Market for the first time last night for some beer and wings. Place was about 1/4 (approx 10 tables total) full the entire time, showed up at 5:30. Took 15 minutes for someone to come take our drink order, another 20 minutes for the drinks to show up. Then 5 minutes to place our order. We ordered wings, 3 burgers and a sandwich which took 1 hour to arrive. When the food finally arrived, we were missing orders and the wings we did get were cold. We advised the waitress – she grabbed her manager (whom was sitting at the bar on his phone the entire time) and he got us fresh wings in 5 minutes (don’t know how the first orders took 1 hour). The wings and food were mediocre at best, could of gotten the same thing at any pub in half the time (and we have been to almost all the neighborhood pubs in the NE). So after we finished our meal – 2 hours total of sitting around waiting. We spoke to the manager about our concerns how an almost empty pub would take over an 1 hour to serve us cold food, he then proceeded to laugh in our face and finally offered us gift cards, we advised him we would not be returning. He then started to argue with us and providing plenty of different excuses. In the end we got 25% off our bill. To summarize, this was the worst customer service I have ever experience, so much so it made me want to write my first review ever to stop people from experiencing the same. Do not waste your time and money.
Honestly I thought this place had potential, but after a few visits it gets worse and worse.. The food (when they have what’s on the menu) is bland, kraft dressing ceasers salad etc.. The drinks.. Well they have nothing on the drink menu, see picture lol. And the service is more of a, come get me when u need something while I’m on my phone or eating. Skip it!
A newly opened restaurant (I visited in June 2015) that is a hop, skip & jump over the Deerfoot highway from us (it’s a good thing). The menu looks fabulous and the 48 beer on tap is definitely a draw. It’s in an interesting spot, tucked behind a couple dealerships off 32nd. There is nothing exciting about the front of the restaurant…rather plain and not obvious. But once inside the place has a great vibe, is warm and inviting. Multiple kegs on tap are visible via a glass wall. Looks like they even have an upstairs possibly for private or corporate events.Mini me & I stopped in for lunch one day, for a girls date. We had some flatbread and I had a beer. I’m looking forward to visiting this place again and trying out their menu and of course pondering their beer offering. Nice to have this addition in the North. bakersbeans.ca
My boyfriend, two friends and I went here on a Thursday night (tonight). Staff were friendly from the get-go and the venue was clean. The place has been open for only two months so it wasn’t too busy.We ordered drinks first. 48 beers on tap, many of them were local. Large brand beers (Bud, Coors, etc) are not popular here. Our waitress was friendly an checked on us often. We were never left waiting for drinks. We had two burgers, a chicken burger, and macaroni and cheese. Nobody had complaints, although there are tweaks to the meals that could help (Less truffle on the Mac n’ cheese). Nothing that was a deal breaker, however.Food came fast with no issues.Overall, our experience was great and we WILL be coming back here! Easy to say that I have found a new neighbourhood bar. We just hope that they put up an advertisement of some sort so that my new bar stays! I had no clue about it until today, and i live 7 minutes away!
The first few times we went here we had the same server, it was phenomenal service, beer and food. The last time I had a different server, she took my spouses order and then walked away ignoring me…not a good start. When she came back I ordered a burger without mayo and ketchup on the side, food came in a later fashion than usual but arrived fresh however missing the ketchup on the side, I reminded the waitress of this and set my burger to the side eating my fries. Over the next 20 minutes I observed the waitress attending a large group and neglecting the small tables including my order of ketchup. The waitress finally comes over and sees the burger still sitting on the plate, remember the ketchup she runs back to get it and I proceed to put it on a ice cold burger. The waitress then asks if it’s cold and offers to have a new one made, I politely thank her and agree. 5 minutes later she brings it back out, it has been reheated only, the pickles that I unfolded are refolded on the top and the burger is more than well done. At this point I tell the waitress that I’ll pass on the burger and to have it taken of the bill, frantically apologizing she agrees.
Nice to see a new pub in the NE. Place is huge and the food, beer and service was great. We had the Classic C&B burger with yam fries, Moroccan Beef Skewers and a tossed salad with a nice balsamic dressing. Check it out…guaranteed to please!
