Delicious spot for a lunch. You get a ton of food for a wicked good price (plus they have a groupon so get it soon). The portion is large, the spice and flavour is spot on. We tried the veggie curry and butter chicken. Both delicious. Friendly staff with fun stories!
I’m Sri Lankan and born in Calgary. This Sri Lankan resturant is definitely one of my favourites. The food is so authentic that it’s like you are transported to Sri Lanka while still being in Calgary. I’ve been to Sri Lanka two times. The flavours are unbeatable. My favourites dishes here are the kottu roti , String Hoppers,coconut sambal,mutton rolls, the thali’s (only available at lunch & definetly worth the price for the portion size and a great way to try various things on the menu if you have never tried Sri Lankan cusine), basically everything is amazing on the menu. Sri Lankan cuisine is similar to South Indian cuisine however certain dishes like rolls and kottu roti are uniquely exclusive to Sri Lankan cuisine only! I got the Vegetarian Thali. Thali is served with whichever one you choose plus Rice, Parotta, Dal, Veggie, Salad, Veg Pakora, Papadam and Sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who grew up Sri Lankan or even just has never tried Sri Lankan !
