Not good! We love Indian food but believe me there is much better in so many other places around here like just down the street on rundlehorn dr mirch masala. Ordered takeout and half of the items were not available, the food was very cold like it came out of the fridge. The naan is terrible, store bought pita very disaapointing. If you love Indian good go somewhere else!

Fantastic. My wife and I went to the Samosa Garden Express tonight for the first time and it was fantastic. We had the Beef Samosas and Veggie Samosas and Beef Karai and it was great. If I had to mention a negative, it’s the naan, it was only as good as store bought naan.Service is good, food was very tasty and good price.

Awesome!. Samosa Garden Express opened in December 2012 and while it is focused towards takeout and catering, does have five or six tables on-site. I had eaten at the original Samosa Garden in Vancouver, which was among the highest rated Indian restaurants in that market for years, and was very happy to learn the family behind it has now moved to Calgary and opened up this place. Items I’ve eaten include nyama choma (which is a very spicy mix of items off of an East African grill – including ribs, beef cubes and strips of chicken, along with spiced potatoes), chicken samosa (awesome – suggest you order by the dozen for a better deal and then take the extras home), Indian style blackened kababs (another that you may want to order by the dozen), chicken biriyani, beef biriyani and fried mogo (strips of fried casava, lightly spiced and nice with their hot sauce). Everything was very good, and my only recommendation would be to swap the spicy potatoes in the nyama choma for the fried mogo. When I had eaten at this place in Vancouver, I recall fantastic paaks (Indian squares, but more rich and elegant than the usual sweet house barfis that people get) – try the badam (almond) paak. They also specialized in fried tilapia. I haven’t had that here yet though – but great reviews from when they were in Vancouver.Oh – almost forgot one of the most important things. They have a daily take-out special. Dinner for two for $11. No kidding – that’s for two, and they given enough for double that, depending on your appetite of course. I live far away, but if I was closer, I don’t know why we’d cook anymore!
