Garlic sauce. Yogurt, garlic and lemon?
Typical Fast-Food. Villa Madina is an OK place to go to once in a while. As can be expected of most fast-food places, their falafels tend to be dry and salty, which is not the most appealing thing. I do enjoy their salad and potatoes, but, while it’s OK, this isn’t the type of place I’d want to go to over and over again.
Surpisingly Nice!. Went to the Balzac Mall a few months ago, and tried the food. The flavour meshed together nicely. The hummus had the perfect texture and thickness. The salads and Kebabs were a tasty treat.
Great Garlic Potatoes!!. I stopped here on Monday (18 Apr 11). Firstly I really enjoyed how the Potatoes were fried and covered in a Garlic sauce. The sauce was perfect. I had a Beef Shawarma. It had a unique seasoning flavour I couldn’t pick out what it was. It was not either good or bad just unique. It tasted like the beef was a little overcooked. The waitresses were friendly and helpful. I did enjoy the whole experience. I think part of thr flavour issue, I might have gotten a Whole Wheat Pita instead of White. I would like to try some of their many other options. I will visit them again.
First of all, if you look at the other review previous, you’ll notice they were talking about a different location, so it is irrelevant. This location is terrible. I was served by someone who didn’t know what she was doing. The food was nothing like the picture and my pita fell apart before I could eat it. The flavor was nothing special and there was too much sauce. The meat tasted old the potatoes were drenched in oil. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. The Thai Express next door is better, but sometimes they can disappoint as well.
Awesome food. Wife and I eat here everytime we visit Cross Iron Mills.
First time a charm, second time not so charming!. This fast food new addition caught my attention as I was at Sunridge. Having a strong palate for Mediterranean savoury delights, I wandered over and began examining their selections.Their selections are quite plenty for fast food. I decided upon the Shish Kefta Kebab plate. It included sticks of ground lamb mixed with different herbs and spices, serving of rice and potatoes, a unique bean salad blend, hummus, garlic sauce, and few garnishes. The plate was packed. The meat had nice flavors and quite moist for grilled ground meat. The rice and potatoes were filling. The bean salad was very healthy and beans were not hard but easily chewable. The hummus had great garlic flavor. The garlic sauce added as a great side addition – made it easier to eat the plate, mixed well with the lamb sticks and potatoes. With all elements of this meal, I was one very full and delighted Mediterranean eater. The serving staff was very attentive and alert, and presented me with all the various options available. One more place to eat in the mall that my stomach is happy. Until next venture here.UPDATE: Unlike my first great experience, the second did not duplicate. I ordered a chicken combination plate last week and noticed a few things. First the hummus (which is a staple dish when I eat at Lebanese places) was way too loose it was like a soup. So disappointing!. Next, the salads, chicken and rice were all over the place which made it awkward to eat. Chicken was very tender but the spices and flavors were absent. The bean salad that I chose was fairly bland and did not taste much. Maybe they forgot the dressing or vinagrette. Overall, a disappointing meal. I will look to other options next time.
