Sushi was fine, Cant lie about that but the place isnt very well kept together… Had a kid with a baseball cap and wearing a hoodie serve me, not very professional. Prefer to eat somewhere i feel comfortable. Aja is good for take out
Great atmosphere, great fresh sushi, the chefs rolls and prawn tempuras were just out of this world, We were hesitant to go because of the mixed reviews but decided to give it a go and we are so glad we did.
I love this place! Staff are very friendly, and the sushi is pretty good.A lot of negative reviews on here are complaining about the portion size for the price. Except you have to consider that Sylvan is rural and sushi is a speciality restaurant, so of course the price will be higher than in urban places like Red Deer and Calgary.Considering that, I am definitely willing to pay a premium to have sushi in Sylvan.
Small portions not so good May 2015. Certainly could use some new tables. Food is nothing to brag about and portions are very small. Nothing like the menu pictures. I will not return. Seemed like a money grab to us.
Was not happy with food. Service was great but did not enjoy any part of my food. But as I hate to be a negative nancy I will defiantly give it another try as I have read some good reviews about it
Will be back!. My friend and I love sushi rolls, and usually frequent Shiso in Red Deer. However, we decided to save the drive and try out one in Sylvan. We went to Aja and the sushi did not disappoint! They have a ton of different types, the rolls were fresh, the server was friendly, the restaurant was clean and the prices were really good. I have to say that both my friend and I liked the smaller maki rolls better than the larger chefs rolls. I will be returning to this restaurant and I think we may have even found a new regular spot!
Kid you not!!. I wouldn’t say best sushi I’ve ever had since Im from the coast but close to the best. Great atmosphere and customer service. I come here every second week since I live an hour away drive . I’ve never had a bad experience at this resturant. I really enjoy the food at aja. Reappear customer….absolutely!!
