Great place for breakfast. Ate breakfast a few times at Petes while on vacation this summer. The atmosphere relaxed, food was freshly made and portions large.

This is Sylvan Lake!. Been going to Pete’s on the beach for over a decade and enjoyed amazing home style food. An interesting decor and fun back deck viewing the lake with flowers and trees. Don’t expect anything fancy but you will enjoy the best nachos and burgers. Famous for their breakfast. If you are asking locals this is a favourite! This is locally owned and operated by same owner for decades. Other restaurants come and go but this one has had consistent quality of food and service.

No Place for Families. Family of 4, two kids under 8 – coffee’s/ two ice tea’s/hot dogs/fries and two sandwiches – $90 – Enough said the price for what we received was highway robbery and I will not only never return with my family I will go out of my way to tell anyone with kids are respect for value to stay for away from this place. I am still disgusted at what they had the nerve to charge. Cheese for hot dogs, extra $3 each not melted, I could go on and on with how they rip you off but I think for a lunch $90 is outrageous. Girl who served us very nice and efficient, all that I can say positive.

Walk into the Past. Okay, well people must understand the attraction of Pete’s At The Beach is not all about the food, although that’s not bad – the breakfasts, burgers and pizza (eat in or takeout) are the best of the menu, albeit slightly overpriced. The reason it’s worth going there is to get a glimpse into the Sylvan Lake of yesteryear…..the amazingly funky, relaxed -style sort of creativity both in and on the back patio which is always eternally interesting to observe and is what makes Pete’s a very unique dining experience. Really, this place really should be designated a historical site! LOL! Sadly, its virtually the last of its kind in town now, others of its kind have been gradually wiped away over the years. Also unique is the owners actually work there daily and have done so for decades, although the restaurant is only open seasonally now.

Petes at the Beach. A great little place on the beach to have a cold one on a hot day, lots of good food and a great patio on the side and in the back. A good location right on the beach, very busy in the summer months. Come in beach clothes or whatever.

Pizzas decent everything else is overpriced and not good.

Last Visit. Used to be the place to go in Sylvan Lake. Now? A shadow of itself. Service poor, little attention to food. Superb patio which I am sure will keep it in business.
