Nice clean resturant.. strange decor .. bathroom painted in booster juice colors with chandelier. Waitress was stoic but did her job. We ordered the shrimp tempura… hons house roll.. dynamite roll and beef roll. The rolls weren’t very big. The rice was a bit dry. Basically a reasonable facimile but if you know your rolls you might by pass. Also did not like the globs of mayo on top
For a sushi restaurant in a small town in the middle of Alberta, I have to admit that the food was exceptionally flavoursome and filling. Great little place with relaxing ambience and solid service. If you’re a sushi lover or just like it, I’d highly recommend this place.
Korean owned Japanese restaurant. The chicken karaage was so good, I wanted to order another plate. It was savory, and just the right amount of crunchiness. Served on a mixed greens salad, and I was happy to eat all that, as it was covered in the juicy flavour from the chicken. I also ordered a bowl of rice and octopus sushi and red snapper sushi. The rice wasn’t Japanese rice or in a rice bowl, but it’s just because it’s not Japanese owned. I didn’t have any complaints.I thought the sushi rice was ok. I prefer it with more vinegar. The sushi presentation was very nice, but wasabi was on the side, and not inside. The meat was cut skillfully. The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.
