What a pleasant surprise! I was in the area and instead of walking into the Subway nearby, I thought Id try this little establishment. I am glad I did!!!Greeted with welcoming smiles, the lovely lady at the counter was very helpful in guiding this rookie through the menu choices. And I wasnt the only one…she helped everyone make their choices. Even those who could speak Spanish (I need to learn this language). I doubt if anyone was disappointed with her guidance.I ordered two Empanadas. A Venezuelan Domino filled with black beans and cheese. I loved this one. Itll be a standard order for me in the future.The other was a Colombian Shredded Beef & Cheese. Delicious also. Especially with either of the two condiment sauces provided in squeeze bottles. Also was a small bowl of picked chopped onions and herbs.They were served piping hot to my table by a pleasant elderly gentleman who I dont think knew much English. Again with a never ending smile. Did I mention hot? No cold food here. It was a good thing my menu guide had me order one of the ice cold fresh fruit juices. After letting me sample the two, I went with the slightly less sweet Tamarind over the Papaya. Delicious OMG…the people at the table next to me just got served their Arepas! I must come back and try those. Hmmm, I think Ill order a Cheese Pupusas to go!!!People, if you are looking for something other than our North American fast food to eat, rush on over to El Fogon Latino and try Latin Americas version! You wont be disappointed.
