I came in here for a change instead of simply going to the food court at Kingsway. The view is kind of nice, even if you are just looking at the mall. Prices seemed a touch higher than typical for bar food, but I received a huge portion so it seemed fair. I came hungry and left full, and I got salad on the side!I was dining solo, and the server didn’t seem too concerned with me (probably because of the fact that I was alone and my eventual tip isn’t worth her attention). I had ordered a reuben-style wrap, which had actual turkey meat instead of lunch meat! I loved that. The problem is it was way too dry. I would have liked some mustard, but getting someone’s attention proved difficult.I inquired about the soup, whether it was fresh or frozen. She said she didn’t know anything about the kitchen, so I’ll take that as being frozen. Maybe not a big deal to some, but I feel like fresh soup isn’t hard or expensive to make. Instead of over-salty broth with nothing in it.Overall, it was a lot more satisfying than the food court, if you’re willing to spend $25-30.

This place has the worst customer service we’ve had. Driving across the county, we were forced to stay in the Best Western ‘hotel’ which owns this restaurant.In the morning we went here for the discounted breakfast – because there is no breakfast included in the hotel. Very limited breakfast menu, very few options for kids. No paper/crayons for kids to draw on. The waiter was terrible…did not refill coffee/water, did not ask us if we were happy with our food/if it tasted good.The food was problematic, as it happens – the pancakes had a nice raw layer in the middle (under cooked). There was a spider on the plate under the poached egg bowl. We waited for the waiter to return to look at this but afte waiting for 10 minutes and no one being there, we left a 20 and left.Will not return if humanly possible.
Great place! Service and Atmosphere are excellent, music is fantastic, food is good. What’s not to like?!
Great food, and even better wait staff.. Actually, they are both equally awesome. It’s a really modern atmosphere with a great feel. I tried a few things that are coming out on their new menu mid month, and if I wasn’t hooked before (which I was) I am now! How do u go wrong with delicious food and cheap drinks???
Beautiful lounge, friendly staff who go out of the way to Ensure awesome service and make you feel at home. I had the lasagne and it was amazing! Not to mention the perfect steaks. Fridays and Saturdays are the best because they have two for one appy’s all night 🙂
Runway is a good lounge. They treat their regulars well and pay just as much attention to newcomers. Food is usually good, and the servers are great.
