Tried their vermicelli bowl and green onion cake for dinner take-out. The prices seemed comparable to similar restaurants. When ordering I found it odd they didn’t offer a vermicelli bowl with you choice of meat (i.e. grilled pork) and spring rolls. The closest thing was a grilled chicken, grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl which of course was the most expensive bowl offered. The food was decent but the portion seemed on the smaller side for the price and the fact that it had two proteins. It’s as thought they give you half the regular portion of chicken and pork rather then two full portions of each – which is what I’d expect. The green onion cakes were standard but the sauce they came with was not that good (it was a tangy soy sauce type sauce rather than a sweet chili type sauce). Overall this place will do in a bind when I’m craving Vietnamese (as its closer to me than most) but it is far from my favorite Vietnamese spot in the city.
I made a solo visit to this restaurant and ordered a single large entre noodle plate for $15.95. The food was hot, fresh and flavourful. Menu has very good selection. Restaurant was clean and modern. Service was excellent. The only issue I had was with the portion size. What was provided would certainly be enough for my wife or daughter but not for me. After leaving this restaurant I had to stop at 7-11 and pick up some chicken wings. 🙂
