Great place for a quick bite at the casino. Fast and friendly staff with super quick food delivery. This restaurant is far enough away from the smokers room as to avoid second hand smoke. Awesome view of the hockey arena as well.
This is a pub, so I expected pub food. Nice atmosphere, with pleasant surroundings. Out hostess, server and waitress were pleasant and efficient. The menu was lmited, but what we did order was superbly prepared. Ceaser salad was very simple but very fresh with a lively flavour. Both the entre Caesar and side Caesar were served in generous portions. My burger was very flavourful, and the bun was terrific. The fries that accompanied my burger stole the show. They were very hot, crisp and amazingly not greasy. They had a wonderful flavour and were among the best fries I have ever had. No room for improvement with those fries. I will go back if only for the fries. My wife ordered the fish and chips. Same wonderful fries with deep fried fish and home made tarter sauce that was second to none.Simple pub food is hard to beat when it is this well done. Our total bill including $10.00tip was $60.40.
Tap 25 is inside The River Cree Casino, honestly while this is a nicer casino the people inside make me feel a little depressed as I walk past them but that’s me, ok so the only time you’ll catch me at this place is from Sunday to Thursday 5 to 11 PM cause that’s when their Prime Rib is 9.99 for the 10 OZ and 14.99 for the 15 OZ. This comes with your choice of fries or mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. The prime rib is decent, definitely worth the 10 bucks, fries are pretty mediocre, Yorkshire pudding is basically a big dry piece of bread and the vegetables are straight from the freezer. But who am I kidding this whole mean can be as low as 10 bucks. You’ll find a lot of seniors frequenting this deal but as a student on a budget this is quite the deal. Service is pretty standard nothing crazy here. And don’t expect keg quality prime rib. You get what u pay for.
Terrible experience at Tap 25. I’m fairly sure name has 25 in it because that’s how long you’ll wait for service. We waited 25 mins for our table which was fine with us but by the time we got seated we received no service. We were nearly late for a concert we were attending that evening. The waitress never came back once, the kitchen person delivered our food and said if he could do anything for us to let him know but he was nowhere to be seen afterwards either. We received no drink re-fills. My husband had to take them to the bar to ask for refills which the bartender was reluctant to do but we hadn’t had a waitress come to our table for 30 mins. When we got up to leave we stood for 15 mins to wait for someone to realize we were trying to leave to receive our cheque. When we mentioned these things to the manager he gave us a business card. I wouldn’t go back.
7 for 7 lunch special really good. A fat montreal meat sand wich + coleslaw + big high quality salad for $7 !!awesome !! service well above average (people with other severs seemed happy too) other cheaper specials available
Awful, we stopped by here the other day because we wanted wings and beer after a hard day of work and to gamble a bit. We ordered the shrimp pot stockers to start which weren’t to bad, filling was a little mushy but the sauce was tasty. The wings came out really fast for how packed the restraunt was (we waited 30+ min for a table and the wings came out about 10-15min after we ordered them). When I got them first they were the wrong flavor which was fine but the skin to the wings was soggy and when I bit into a drum it was still pink and bloody inside. My friend ordered the ribs and his meal was also pink inside. When the waitress came back I notified her about the undercooked wings, she appologized and offered me free desert or another meal but I declined. The manager also came over and offered the same thing, we then let him know my friends meal was also undercooked and he said he’d notify the kitchen but didn’t offer to cover for the ribs. Anyway we ended up leaving and having to pay for our ribs and pot stickers and probably won’t be back. Not related to the restraunt the centre bar service is horrible we walked up to a employee stocking asked if we could order a drink and he turned and walked away. There was another girl at the end of the bar biting her nails, we tried to get her attention and she turned to talk to a waitress. The guy stocking then walked by us a second time and turned his back on us to stock the beer fridge. Finally after about 10 min of trying to get someone’s attention a new employee walked in and served us. A regular sitting at the bar said its usually like this and they will ignore you till you yell loud enough or find a manager.
After a 1 hour wait to get in I ordered the pepperoni pizza. When it came the cheese on the pizza was not cooked, it looked like it had just been sprinkled on. The dough was not cooked at all and the pizza wasn’t even cut. I had to tear the uncooked dough which made a complete mess. I will never eat here again.
