I really had a bad experience with popeyes. I bought a takeaway on the 5th of August and drove back to Limpopo only to find that the chicken had this funny taste and smell. i was sold rotten dry chicken. so disappointing.
When Popeye’s finally arrived in Edmonton months ago….I lined up for it. Place is good. Good seasoning on their chicken and you’d have to be boring if you didn’t get the spicy version. Chicken has a good crisp and is usually moist. The biscuits though really outshine anything on the menu though, they’re fluffy and delicious. Makes you wonder why KFC ever took them off the menu decades ago. Don’t forget to get the gravy here, it’s loaded with spice and it’s good to drench over the biscuits. Good stuff all around.Located in a strip mall on 17st and off of Whitemud, this place still gets pretty busy. Might be waiting a little for your food but it’s worth it.Sal says: Just Try it
