This place was absolutely terrible. I will not come here again. We walked in after lunch maybe 1pm or so, got served by a gruff unpleasant man, figured out later it was the cook. We ordered our food and it came out quickly but was pretty much microwaved meals. The food was mostly tasteless, I could have made a better meal slapping some food together from the local grocery store. The menu sounded delicious so we were extremely disappointed with the food quality.
Unexpected delight. While recently working in Canmore for a few days, I looked for something new And was extremely impressed. FirstEdgar the view from the patio was spectacular, but it was out done by first the food and the conversation with chef Victor. It will always be my first choice now in Canmore if I only have one.A must if food means anything to you.Thanks and look forward to a return visit soon.MarkPS. Victor, Would have downloaded a picture but didn’t want J Edgar to have access to all of them- haha
Delicious. This was my second time eating here, goth times the food was delicious. As a vegan the experience was so easy, the server/chef asked if there were any vegetarians or vegans and then proceeded to tell me about the vegan special for the day. Sauted vegetables including fresh asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms and baby potatoes in a fabulous sauce. My partner had the other special, bison quesadilla and loved it. Not the birthday dining experience I wanted. Was her for dinner with some girlfriends. One is vegetarian and myself vegan. The menu appeared to have great options so thought we’d give it a try. The service was poor. Their teenage kid took our order. When I asked what the cab Sav wine was he said I don’t know some Canadian wine. I had to ask him to go check. We opted for sangrias instead which were not good. We asked for something else and she seemed offended but got us different drinks. Our food was pretty good. The vegetarian friend loved her dish. My vegan dish not too bad but the Alfredo pasta dish my friend didn’t like at all. The dad/cook apologized for the sangrias and brought us all free shots which turned out to be wine. So overall not a great experience not sure I’ll return or recommend it.
Horrible experience. Restaurant was dirty, bathrooms filthy and you have to walk through the kitchen to get into the bathrooms…..kitchen didnt look sanitary. Decore is dreadful and the ambiance is non existant. The food was sub par at best and the service was poor. After sending one inedible meal back to the kitchen our waitress would not come back to the table but instead sent one of her children to clean the table and bring the bill…food was over priced…..will never go back…
Unsure if I want to go back. The food was good, and they were great to ask if we were vegan/vegetarian (we’re vegan) and mentioned that the dish was fully vegan when it was served to us. I had the roasted eggplant pate and my partner the garlic & saffron mushrooms. Everything was hot and tasty when it arrived. The reason I’m unsure about returning, is because the service was really bad. Like bad. The server came by once to take our drink order, drop the drinks off, take the order and drop off our meal. My partner accidentally knocked her ginger ale all over the table, and the server just gave us a few napkins to clean it up. Never came back to clean up the rest of it, or ask if we wanted a refill or a glass of water. There was some issue with another patron possibly having an allergic reaction to either nuts, fish or something else, and the waitress was berating him, stating that there are absolutely none of those things in the building (except there was a cod on the specials board?) The cook came out and didn’t appear to be terribly concerned either. It mainly just sounded like they were yelling at the customer. We were very uncomfortable, so soon after finishing our meals, we paid and left. The food was fine, but the service and ambiance certainly left something to be desired. Not sure if we’ll be back.
Amazing Food!!. The food is the amazing and the price is exceptional, especially for what you get. It is the best restaurant I have been to and the service was excellent. It takes true talent and passion to cook like that. If you like delicious food go to Elita’s!!
